Students will be able to undergo training in programs, in the development of which specialists "BASEALT" took part. The Alt Workstation OS is installed on the laboratory computers, Alt Virtualization OS is deployed on the college servers. According to the results of the training, students will be able to pass vendor certification.

The opening of the BASEALT Training and Research Laboratory at St. George's College was an important event for the regional vocational education system. Students will be able to acquire knowledge and skills in the field of network and system administration that are in demand in the labor market. The Ministry expresses confidence that the laboratory will make a significant contribution to the training of highly qualified personnel for IT-industries and the development of the digital economy of the region, said Nadezhda Glushkova, representative of the Ministry of Education of the Stavropol Territory.

Students will study system and network administration of the IT infrastructure on the Alt OS in the context of the real tasks and situations faced by IT specialists in professional practice. The laboratory will be attended by regional IT companies - partners of BASEALT. These are potential employers interested in training future specialists.
