Aeroflot "will reboot" EDMS on 10 thousand users

In January, 2014 at the Moscow offices of Aeroflot the project on upgrade of the corporate automated control system for document flow (CACSDF) in which implementation the Business Logic company will be engaged starts.

KASUD is used in Aeroflot since 2001 and supports processes of registration, transfer, the movement of all document types, control of execution, storage of electronic copies of documents, maintaining databases of documents and also quick search of documents and issue of references on them. As basic software it uses the solution of IBM Lotus Domino/Notes of version 8.5, said in the project documentation.

According to Aeroflot, the annual volume of documents in the company is about 600 thousand units, and a gain – about 30% a year. Documents are registered in 605 structural divisions of different level.

The number of the users who are at the same time working in KASUD as of the end of 2013 is up to 1.5 thousand people, and a total quantity of users - up to 3 thousand human. Planned indicators of Aeroflot are about 5 thousand at the same time working users and a total quantity of users - up to 10 thousand human.

During the project on upgrade of KASUD, the subsystems implemented in it and functions should be postponed for the IBM FileNet platform. Is also breaded to execute migration of documents (their details, content, data on electronic signatures and the connected entities) for the last 5 years and also to organize access to historical data - from 1995 to 2011 - the workflow system and search in them in a read mode.

In addition to transfer, in a system additional opportunities among which - a possibility of use of information retrieval functions in the upgraded system and on all data array should be developed, including - on corporate archive of the documents SAP ERP based on FileNet.

The upgraded system should provide also functions on planning of a meeting of collegiate organ of Aeroflot, approval of the agenda and selection of materials for its carrying out, a possibility of maintaining the minutes, and formation of the text of the protocol in MS Word for representation for the signature to the management.

It will be possible to work with a system both from normal PCs, and via the web interface from tablets and smartphones running OS Android iOS, and MS Windows 8.

Staff of Aeroflot in territorially remote structural divisions and also in mobile workplaces, will be able to conduct the distributed work with documents on an equal basis with the central office of the company by connection to uniform installation of a system using the selected secure channels of communication.
