In June, 2020 MTS by request of the Belarusian construction company "A-100 Development" implemented the project on integration of technology of Internet of Things with garbage containers. Smart devices control filling of tanks that allows management company to optimize logistics of export of waste and to save working time of employees.
Trash cans are equipped with the ultrasonic sensor range finder, the measuring instrument of slope angle and the thermal sensor. Sensors can work at a temperature no more than-40 degrees Celsius and +75 degrees. The body of IoT-devices is manufactured of shock-resistant material, is not afraid of water and dust. Service life of devices without replacement makes 6 years, reported in MTS.
As soon as the container is filled, information through certain periods on NB-IoT network is transferred to the intellectual platform. A system collects, analyzes data and further builds the working schedule and routes for export of waste to the next landfill. As a result special transport does not need to spend time for nothing for a territory detour. Besides, IoT-sensors allow to define not only the place, but also to record the fact of collecting of garbage.
20 smart containers are installed in the residential district New Pine-forest in the Minsk district. Here daily peak load of collecting of garbage falls on evening, from 17 to 22 o'clock. This information allows to manage rationally garbage removal, the director of A-100 Comfort management company Svetlana Petrova explains.
Structures of Internet of Things change everyday life, increase its quality and help to improve an ecological situation of the urban environment. The NB-IoT network is capable to ensure smooth operation of data transmission in hard-to-reach spots and dense urban development — the Head of Department of marketing of MTS company Vitaly Odorsky noted.[1] |
