2024: Creation of a local area network

INTACT] built a local area network (LAN) of the school New Look. " The implementation of the project made it possible to create a safe environment for school employees to work together with all corporate resources. Intact announced this on October 30, 2024.

Building the school's own LAN was aimed at solving several problems: providing secure access to common information resources, protecting data transmission from IT systems, automated workplaces, telephony and connecting school systems to external networks.

INTACT specialists have completed the entire range of design work on the creation of a LAN and a subsystem of a wireless local area network. The project took into account the requirements for network scalability in terms of bandwidth and number of connections, as well as the ability to back up all connections. The fault tolerance of all system components was ensured to maintain operability in normal mode in case of failure of any of them.

The LAN subsystem implements a hierarchical network model, which includes two main layers: the core layer for communication of all services and users, and the access layer for providing end users with a connection to the network. The central management and monitoring subsystem is responsible for monitoring the state of the system.

The implementation of the project ensured the security of data transmission, as well as centralized equipment management and network maintenance.

Creating our own LAN allowed us to achieve all the goals that we set for INTACT specialists. Thanks to the correct design and selection of the technological solution, we have obtained a system that fully meets the vector of school development in the present and future. Its own LAN has increased the efficiency of employees due to quick and convenient access to information, ensuring the proper level of data transfer security. The INTACT team completed the entire range of work in a short time and at a high level, - commented Natalya Bondarenko, operating director of the New Look school.

The main challenge of the project was the tight deadlines, which were not subject to change, the school was supposed to accept the first students on September 1. In addition to the timing, the dependence of all systems within the facility on the local area network and wireless network imposed additional reliability requirements. To solve the set tasks, we have selected equipment that meets the requirements for solutions of this class as much as possible. The equipment made it possible to achieve the necessary fault tolerance indicators, and due to the functions of the centralized control and monitoring system, it became possible to launch the facility as soon as possible, "commented Oleg Abankin, Deputy General Director of INTACT.
