Absolut Bank has optimized and improved its credit processes with Proceset's Process Mining and Task Mining

2025: Introduction of Proceset
Absolut Bank assessed the results of using the Process Mining and Task Mining tools to analyze the effectiveness of credit processes after the completion of the Proceset implementation project. Infomaximum announced this on March 6, 2025.
At the start of the pilot project, the Bank planned to solve several problems:
- assess the performance of the corporate information system (IS) using Process Mining and Task Mining;
- Set up employee performance monitoring and identify the potential for improvement
- test hypotheses about the required areas of control of the business process and the causes of problems in it using Process Mining;
- Identify the potential to optimize and automate operations by digitizing employee activities per PC with Task Mining.
We automated one of the credit business processes and calculated the real effect of optimization with Process Mining, which we received in a year. After analyzing the data from the logs, we found that we reduced the work time on the card by 47% from the moment it was created to finalization, - said Roman Trushkov, Director of the Corporate Credit Analysis Department of Absolut Bank. |
An important block in the implementation of the project was the study of the distribution of tasks between employees. It showed that in one of the subprocesses, employees did not take on their tasks, thereby lengthening and weighing down the path. This situation arose due to the combination of two roles at the stage of corporate IP development. The number of returns for rework was reduced as a result of training employees to work with the card module inside the IC and improving the process of distributing tasks.
The third large block of work with Process Mining was associated with the analysis of data logging in IC. Only the beginning and end of large operations were recorded, what happened inside them was not measured. Based on the obtained facts from Proceset, it was possible to improve the logging system on the Bank's side together with the system vendor.

During the assessment, the potential for optimizing working hours was determined, which can be up to 27%. In particular:
- a 12% reduction in labor costs due to the transfer of work with/to the IE; WordExcel
- Save 5 % time by setting up OCR with Adobe Acrobat
- Up to 10% less effort by implementing a single file storage system instead of using Explorer + Explorer++.
Separately, it is worth noting that delays in the response of corporate IS were discovered with Task Mining, which was solved due to an increase in resource capacity on the side of the corporate IS vendor.

We were satisfied not only with the results of the pilot, but also with the cooperation with Infomaximum, - summed up Roman Trushkov. - Absolut Bank intends to continue working in this direction. The plans include further scaling of technologies in the bank, control and evaluation of implemented offers, search for new ways to optimize and automate the business process. |
