Rostelecom carried out upgrade of network of street lighting in the Irafsky district of North Ossetia

On August 10, 2018 Rostelecom announced carrying out upgrade of network of street lighting in the Irafsky district of North Ossetia. The power service contracts signed between telecom operator and administration of local government of the area provide installation about 1500 LED lamps.

Lamps appeared along all routes of the area – both main, and minor. In comparison with traditional sodium and mercury lamps they consume several times less electric power, instantly join and more than 10 years have service life.

Implementation of "smart" lighting will allow to optimize resource management that, in turn, will create favorable conditions for the people and his guests living in the area. The project will allow to reduce budget costs only of the area not less than by 60% and to save about 4.5 million kilowatt-hours due to decrease in energy consumption within six years of its implementation. In the regional center of Chikola of costs of the budget for street lighting will also decrease by 60%, and power saving for the same period will make not less than 5.5 million kilowatt-hours. The directions, popular with inhabitants of our republic, on the tourist objects located in the Digor gorge pass across the territory of our area. Here the strained movement during the whole year.
