Tele2 and the government of Khabarovsk Krai signed the agreement on cooperation

Tele2, the alternative mobile operator, and the government of Khabarovsk Krai signed in October, 2014 the agreement of intent in the field of development of communication services. Till 2018 Tele2 is going to invest 1.3 billion rubles in development of cellular infrastructure of the region.

The subject of the agreement is cooperation of Tele2 and the government of Khabarovsk Krai in the field of development of telecommunication infrastructure of the region, increase in investments into economy of edge and implementation of joint social and economic projects.

The document provides large-scale construction of new objects of network infrastructure. The operator will pay special attention to increase in availability of mobile services in the remote localities of Khabarovsk Krai and also in the territories located along federal highways.

Except technical development, the parties plan implementation of a number of the programs aimed at growth of economy and creation of the favorable investment climate in the territory of the region. Development and projects implementation, the edge initiatives directed to support in the social sphere belongs to these aspects of cooperation.

It is sure, implementation of the agreement will allow us not only to effectively provide fast-growing needs of the population for available and qualitative communication services, but also to promote increase in the overall level of life in the region. Tele2 is focused on long-term investments − it confirms successful experience of development in the Far East where communication of Tele2 was started in the fall of 2012".

Besides, it will become an additional push to development of a communications infrastructure, improvement of competition in the market of telecommunications. The activity of the new mobile operator will favorably affect communication quality and that is important, the service level of consumers. And the reached agreements on development of network in the remote localities of edge will promote increase in availability of communication services to the population".
