In Murom at bus stops access to network by means of Wi-Fi is organized

On August 14, 2015 it became known of start in the territory of the district Murom of service of free Internet access in Wi-fi technology. The technical component of the project was provided by macroregional branch "Verkhnevolzhsky" of TransTeleCom Company (TTK-Nizhny Novgorod).

Project Progress

At the end of 2013 specialists organized TTK-Nizhny Novgorod wireless Wi - Fi - access at two bus stops, in April, 2014 - in buses of two main city routes and in the territory of the central square of the 1100 anniversary of Murom. Everyone can use free Internet access with a speed from 2 to 5 Mbps. Daily through all Wi - Fi - zones is transmitted on average more than 1 Gbyte of traffic.

Project Results

"Statistics of use of wireless Internet access says that it becomes more and more popular among inhabitants and guests of Murom. The daily volume of the transferred traffic this year increased twice in comparison with last year. We consider the possibility of the organization in the city of new free Wi - Fi - zones, in particular, - in one of parks", – Stanislav Askinadze, the associate director – the head of the Access block of macroregional branch "Verkhnevolzhsky" of TransTeleCom company noted.

Since launch of free Internet access on Wi-fi technology in Murom more than 5 thousand citizens used service.
