The Aeroflot company implemented an automated system of maintenance of the flight validity, maintenance and repair of aircrafts. In February, 2018 the Ramax International company (enters into Ramaks Group), which executed this project reported about it.
Project Progress
As project calls in "Ramaks" noted:
- cardinal difference of an order of maintaining data and the scheme of integration between a former and new system, including more strict requirements to quality of data in AMOS,
- need of consolidation and transformation of data from the multiple systems sources, including with unformalized data which were kept out of information systems earlier,
- integration of the systems of maintaining a warehouse stock with different approach to accounting and logistics,
- a large number of the structural divisions involved in the project, (users of a system and consumers of data) and need of large-scale review of business processes;
- high quality requirements of transfers (including oral) for needs of an implementation project of AMOS.
During the project specialists Ramax International at the initial stage prepared the documents describing the strategy of data migration and the concept of integration of AMOS. Further on their basis "The project solution" and the technical specifications which are in details describing the developed integration were developed.
On closing stages of the project acceptance testing of data integration and several iterations of migration with the set qualitative and quantitative indices which were considered successful was held and allowed to perform the beginning of productive operation of the information system AMOS in Aeroflot-Russian Airlines company.
Specialists Ramax International developed test scripts of business processes, their options and end-to-end chains that represented the first version of the detailed conceptual project. Instructions of end users were developed, testings of functionality of AMOS and also training of key and end users are held.
Project Results
On a response of the customer, project implementation significant cost reduction on maintenance of AF at the expense of the following indicators resulted:
- work performance improvement (process optimization of attraction of additional resources on the maintenance necessary in the conditions of increase in the volume of passenger traffic stated in development strategies of Aeroflot Group, and expansion of the AF park). Implementation of AS of PLG and MRO of AMOS allowed to increase labor productivity of the employees working in the relevant divisions by 4%.
- reduction of warehouse stocks and process optimization of planning and material security of a MRO. Thanks to integration of the AMOS system with production and SAP systems and also to the high quality of data in them provided with works on data migration the efficiency of planning and accounting of Inventories in the company, according to Aeroflot, increased by 3-4% that 130-175 million rubles are equivalent.
- loading of plane documentation allowed to lower labor costs during the work with a system and to provide automatic formation of working cards for service of AF.
- optimization of warehouse and purchasing processes. Identification and elimination of errors in reference books and basic data during migration. Significant reliability augmentation and qualities of data.
- quality improvement and efficiency of reporting, including accounting, managerial and reportings before the aviation authorities.
- increase in fault tolerance of a system: the updated landscape and the organization of a reliable restoration system of data.
This project allowed us to have near at hand a real picture of a status of the flight validity and maintenance and repair of aircrafts of Aeroflot. Using the AMOS system we received a global picture of all processes on a MRO in the single integrated system: purchase planning, planning and accomplishment of repairs, online integration with systems Boeing and Airbus. It allowed to reduce labor input, to increase quality of processes of a MRO and maintenance of the flight validity of aircrafts. Our next purpose — to reduce a downtime of the aircraft on the earth thanks to transition to predictive maintenance. We will start implementation of this task next year — told Kirill Bogdanov, CIO of Aeroflot company. |
