Aeroflot replaced the platform based on which conducts documentation of a quality management system. The company has the certificate which confirms compliance of a quality management system of airline (SMK) to requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2008.

This standard just also requires existence of the system of documentation arranging and structuring internal activity of the company. Several years as the platform for this system Aeroflot used H3 Basis Tool. However the developer company of this platform, Certification Network MC GmbH, so far "disappeared from the market of BPM tools", said in the official statement of the company.

As technical support of the old software product became unavailable, it was required to replace it with a system which versions are regularly updated. As the new platform ARIS from Software AG - IDS Scheer Russia which was already used by other divisions of airline was selected. A few years ago in Aeroflot the concept of uniform base of business processes and implementation of means of BPM was created for what ARIS was used.

Feature of the project was the fact that it had to save the resources which are already spent by Aeroflot on development of documentation of SMK in the old software product. For this purpose all practices were transferred to the ARIS database. The agreement on modeling, the necessary document defining rules of work by description of different spheres of activity of JSC Aeroflot (strategy, an organization structure, documents, business processes, structure of knowledge, powers) was also drafted for department of management of SMK.

According to Tatyana Turanskaya, the head of department of management of SMK JSC Aeroflot Tatyana, "from risks on disappearance from the market of the IT companies, especially small, nobody is insured for 100%".

According to her, the value of the project consists that the company could save completely results of work on creation of documentation of SMK and investments made by the company. "It is several cheloveko-years. Costs for copying of models in the new tool would be the same if not the help of consultants of Software AG: they transferred all practices of the company to new Wednesday completely and in the automatic mode. And, in fact, provided that insurance", - she added.

The project was executed in three months. The single database of documentation of SMK JSC Aeroflot with multi-user access and a safe possibility of the publication of models on the intranet was as a result created. The electronic database also provides transparent access to the normative legal documentation of the company using the models containing references to processes, regulations, provisions and other corporate documents.
