2023: Mishustin allocated 175.4 billion rubles for new Superjet and MS-21 aircraft

As it became known in mid-January 2023, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin approved an investment project for preferential leasing of Russian aircraft. These liners will be delivered as part of an investment project, an agreement on which Aeroflot signed with the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC, part of Rostec).

The agreement provides for the transfer on lease of 210 MS-21, 89 Superjet New and 40 Tu-214 aircraft from 2023 to 2030, writes RBC.

The authorities allocated 175.4 billion rubles for new Superjet and MS-21 aircraft for Aeroflot

As part of the project, Rostec's subsidiary, the lessor Aviakapital-Service, will buy 63 liners for Aeroflot during 2023-2026. for Aeroflot. Among them are 34 Superjet New worth 2.2 billion rubles, 18 MS-21-310 (3.1 billion rubles) and 11 Tu-214 (3.1 billion rubles). Prices are indicated taking into account the increase in aircraft prices during the implementation of the project. The total cost will reach 175.4 billion rubles.

Among the disadvantages of the project, the resolution notes high operating costs of Russian aircraft, insufficient design resources relative to foreign counterparts, a limited number of qualified personnel for aircraft. The implementation of the project will also be complicated by long production periods for liners, restrictions on the supply of foreign components, delays in certification of aircraft. The press service of Rostec said that the indication of "weaknesses" and "risks" is a mandatory part, but if the investment project is supported, then its positive effects are stronger.

Financing the project is 100% National Wealth Fund of an atypical situation, said the general director of the research company Sherpa Group. Alexandra Galaktionova As such an exception, we can cite an example of the construction of a section of the highway - Kazan (Yekaterinburg Dyurtyuli - Achit) worth 260.5 billion rubles, financed by almost 100% from the fund.[1]

Aeroflot had a great influence on the development of the SSJ100 project. Continuing to work together, as well as increasing the airline's fleet at the expense of SSJ100 aircraft, is a high assessment of the results of our activities.
