2020: Development of the digital portal
On November 2, 2020 the IBM company announced development of the digital portal for flight crews of Aeroflot. This portal is designed to increase efficiency of information services for flight personnel and will become the main application for daily use by pilots from any mobile or desktop device. Users of the portal will estimate the speed of its work, ergonomics and functionality while for Aeroflot the project can become an important part of process of digital transformation of flight document flow.
The digital portal will allow Aeroflot to simplify business processes on work with onboard documentation, interaction of pilots with information services of the company, to increase satisfaction of crew and finally to save time and means, – Kirill Bogdanov, the deputy CEO for information technologies of PJSC Aeroflot told. |
The project team IBM Service aimed at achievement of high availability and reliability of the developed application from the technical point of view and also its scalability. For ensuring necessary functions in a hybrid local and cloud IT environment of Aeroflot it was used software with open source code (Docker Kubernetes). The microservice architecture will facilitate upgrade of a product due to adding in it of functionality and improvement of the user interface.
Management of transactions is an important element of digital conversion of workflow. With the assistance of IBM Aeroflot took a serious step in use of IT for increase in level of operational efficiency and laid the foundation for further improvement of the processes directed to assistance of airline in achievement of its strategic objectives, – Evgeny Sokolov, the partner of IBM Services, Central and Eastern Europe noted. |
