The IT system will protect "Aeroflot the Bonus" from employees and swindlers

Aeroflot will conduct examination of the IT system of the Aeroflot Bonus program on existence of threats of cybersecurity, using which, workers or clients of the company can receive own benefit, follows from the project documentation published in October, 2014.

Within the project business processes will be inspected and data on such directions as identification of the threats of information security connected with fraudulent activity, the fraud facts on sales of tickets using the Aeroflot Bonus program, fraud when implementing tickets are analyzed.

Aeroflot studies an opportunity to automate identification of fraud in the rewards program.

For the analysis it is going to use a hardware and software system which Aeroflot considers as the solution for automation of identification of fraudulent activity further. In its basis – software of WeDo Technologies RAID, intended for process automation of detection and fraud prevention and loss of revenue at the enterprises of the different industries.

This system in real time processes data from information systems of the company, revealing unauthorized or suspicious transactions, abnormal activity of employees/clients/partners, deviations from the set regulations or performance indicators of work, etc.

The data on expected volumes of losses and threats of information security giving opportunities for fraudulent activity and also examples of the revealed fraudulent schemes will become a project deliverable in Aeroflot.

Examples of implementation of the revealed fraudulent schemes and the amount of the losses on them caused to the company for the analyzed period will be presented in the report which Aeroflot expects to receive according to the results of the analysis and the threats of cybersecurity connected with fraudulent activity in the Aeroflot Bonus system are posed.
