Air Astana implements management systems for flights and optimization of the flight modes

On August 12, 2014 it became known of the beginning of implementation by Air Astana airline of solutions of SITA company for creation of modern communication infrastructure and improvement of communication channels of air traffic control.

New technology infrastructure is necessary for continuation of development of Air Astana, consider in the management of the company. A choice of technology is made for benefit of SITA company - it proposes high quality solutions and locates extensive telecommunication network.

Dmitry Krasnov, the vice president of SITA in Russia and the CIS, noted: "We are glad to give support to dynamically developing Air Astana airline. We are aimed at providing information and telecommunication services in this fast-growing regional market of air transport, including regarding deployment of our communication systems with ground stations at VHFs frequencies and satellite links for ensuring data exchange with an airplane board".

In addition to communication channels for air traffic control, Air Astana uses a management system for flights of SITA Wind Uplink. Receiving the specified weather reports during flight a system helps to save up to 100 kg of fuel on one run. Along with introduction of new solutions of SITA will also provide the relevant proposals on optimization of network of back offices of airline.
