2023: Implementation of electronic work permit for hazardous work
On November 30, 2023, the Akron Group announced that it was developing internal EDO (electronic document management) at its production sites in the Novgorod and Smolensk regions, ensuring digitalization and acceleration of operating activities.
Among the projects that have passed pilot operation: the introduction of an electronic work permit for hazardous work (production sector, more than 40,000 documents per year) and the digitalization of documents for the internal movement of material values (accounting sector, more than 25,000 documents per year).
Since 2022, Akron PJSC has been using electronic work permits for hazardous work and the latest regulations related to changes. All stages, from the formation to the approval of documents, take place in the corporate information system and are fully digitalized. This eliminated the time spent by employees on obtaining permits and made it possible to have a complete agreed list of work performed for the upcoming periods by the end of the current day. An electronic work permit log was also organized, which simplifies the process of inspections, analysis of production events and reporting to regulatory authorities. The launch of the internal EDM changed the workflow for industrial safety management for the better: faster, more precisely, more accessible, said the head of the department for industrial safety, labor protection and environmental protection of PJSC "Akron" Maria Nalitova.

The transfer of paper documents to electronic form has simplified the task for material responsible persons - they no longer spend time on the physical transfer and coordination of documents. Given the scale of the production area, the process accelerated significantly. For an accountant, finding documents in the archive and providing them at the request of regulatory authorities is now faster and more accessible, not to mention reducing the cost of printing itself. The effects of digitalization in our tasks are tangible. We expect the solution to scale further. " noted the chief accountant of PJSC "Akron" Nadezhda Pavlova.

Projects within the framework of the internal EDM development are one of the priority IT projects of the Akron Group. Their main goal is to accelerate business processes, increase the speed of obtaining operational data, as well as remove routine tasks from highly qualified specialists by fully translating a paper document into a digital form. Based on the positive experience and effects of digitalization, Akron Group continues to develop and scale the internal EDO, told the head of the information technology department of the Akron Group Denis Guzanov.
