Internet banking of Alfa-Bank moved with IBM to Oracle

On April 24, 2013 Alfa-Bank reported that the new version of its online banking - "The Alpha Click 2.0", started for public use in March, 2013, works at the Oracle Fusion Middleware platform.

The Oracle WebLogic Application Server application server, the strategic Oracle Application Development Framework development environment and range of cybersecurity solutions, the including Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Adaptive Access Management, Oracle Internet Directory, Oracle Virtual Directory and Oracle Entitlement Server were a part of the platform.

The previous version of Internet bank worked at the IBM WebSphere Application Server platform. In IBM in a conversation with TAdviser noted that the used version of this platform corresponded to tasks of the previous version of Internet bank, and in new Alpha Cliques version there were tasks for which implementation the platform anyway should be replaced.

Add to the companies that IBM also participated in tender of Alfa-Bank with newer version of WebSphere, however the bank preferred Oracle.

Alfa-Bank notes that transition to the new platform increased the speed of work of bank, "which is updated without stopping systems now" and also time for implementation of new banking products was many times reduced. On project deliverables the Oracle platform was entered to standards of IT strategy of bank.

Change of a technology platform became one of stages of updating of Internet banking of Alfa-Bank. In Alpha Click 2.0 version the interface was also significantly updated and new features for users appeared. Among innovations - the Favorites function allowing to find quickly most often used functions of Internet bank, and a possibility of carrying out online of payments in the section "The directory of services".

The homepage "Alpha Click 2.0" displays data both perfect transactions, and planned now: the client you will be able to see the status of accomplishment of transaction and to repeat it, without need to come into the section History as it was required earlier.

According to Alfa-Bank, his clients make more than 90% of transactions, without visiting departments. Using Internet banking more than 100 million transfers and payments are in total made, daily in a system more than 150 thousand inputs are performed, and turnover of all payments makes more than 20 billion rubles a month.
