In the spring of 2016 Alfa-Bank began use of service Triggers – notifications on changes in credit history of the borrower. Service is developed by the Joint Credit Bureau (JCB) and represents one of the most effective management tools the loan portfolio.
Triggers are service of daily notifications on changes in credit history of the borrower. Service allows to trace a customer behavior and to react quickly to changes of his requirements and payment discipline. The experimental design bureau offers more than 90 triggers (events) grouped in packets depending on use purpose including for work with arrears, management of credit limits, monitoring of payment discipline, monitoring of suspicious activity, cross-sellings, etc.
"The bank uses service for optimization of strategy of collecting of arrears, cross-sellings and management of limits, – Pavel Aksenov, the Head of analytics on fraud prevention of Alfa-Bank says. – Before connection of service pilot testing as a result of which we saw significantly the worst payment discipline in groups of borrowers on whom "negative" signals within service, in particular an exit in delay on the credits of other banks worked was held. Information obtained using service Triggers is of great value for Bank as increases quality and efficiency of segmentation of borrowers on risk level of a default and allows to manage more flexibly and effectively the loan portfolio".
"Deterioration in payment discipline is one of the most current problems which credit institutions face today. In general on the market arrears volumes last year increased by 1.5 times and exceeded 1.1 trillion rub, – the deputy CEO of experimental design bureau of Butchers Nikolay comments. – Service Triggers allows banks to manage effectively the current loan portfolio, timely monitoring changes of credit history of the borrower and to define individual strategy for management of collecting of arrears and credit limits of each specific borrower".
