The system of face recognition Vocord FaceControl helped to catch malefactors in the subway of Almaty

In November, 2014 the Russian company Vokord announced that the system of face recognition VOCORD FaceControl helped to reveal and delay group of the malefactors who enclosed in the car at the station of the Almaty subway a model of the explosive device.

The innovation project on implementation of an intelligent system of face recognition of VOCORD FaceControl in the subway of Almaty – first "subway" in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan – started in September, 2014 within the program for development of transport security in the region. In the project progress, the subway of the latest high-tech solutions providing implementation on objects, on inputs and exits of the Zhibek of a Shola metro station the specialized cameras VOCORD NetCam4 which in the automatic mode select were mounted, photograph and save face of the passengers who are entering and going out of the subway in the database.

On November 09, 2014 cynologists of a company of patrol force of the ATC of Almaty detected a plastic bag in which there was a cardboard box with a text Bomb at the station of the city subway.

For identification of malefactors operational employees the ATC resorted to the help of the system of face recognition VOCORD FaceControl 2D, installed at the station, and quickly received the qualitative images sufficient for recognition of the persons who committed offense. Thanks to it the police could detect and make responsible criminals in the shortest possible time. In many respects it became possible due to capability of the solution VOCORD FaceControl to work in the noncooperative mode (a system will recognize persons in a flow of people and does not require "cooperation" from their party).

With respect thereto we will note that recently the VOCORD FaceControl system passed successful tests in the territory of Moscow Metro (at the Library of Lenin and Park of Culture stations) and also in the St. Petersburg subway (Ladozhskaya station).

For the purpose of ensuring public security the solution VOCORD FaceControl is successfully applied also in other places of mass stay of people – at stations, at the airports, at stadiums, in concert halls, etc.

Let's emphasize that thanks to wide functionality the VOCORD FaceControl system finds the application not only in the field of security, but also in retail and the banking sector.

In particular, in the field of retail VOCORD FaceControl allows to keep account of statistics of visits with breakdown of visitors by gender and age, to trace in trade - and business centers of regular customers, VIP clients and also unwanted visitors.

In a bank segment the system of face recognition helps to identify swindlers, including persons manipulating data at application for the credit and is capable to distinguish the client of bank at its input in department. At this VOCORD FaceControl can work with unlimited number of databases of facsimiles.
