The NETA company completed the project on construction of the departmental integrated telecommunication network for the Altai customs. The network provides data transmission and telephone communication on 19 objects of customs located in the territory of Altai Krai.
Works on the project began in 2006 when the NETA company won the Public contract on preparation of a detail design "Construction of a fragment of the FCS of Russia departmental integrated telecommunication network (DITN) in the Altai customs". Design and exploration work was performed, and the project successfully passed the examination in bodies of Glavgosekspertiza of Russia.
The project was performed in two stages: in 2009 communication hubs on nine objects of customs, in 2010 – on other ten were reconstructed. Solutions are implemented on the equipment Cisco Systems, Nortel Networks, NPK ROTEK Ltd and APC. The core of network is created on the basis of the Cisco switches Catalyst 3750 providing fault tolerance of network. The Cisco switches Catalyst 2960 are used to interface of jobs of customs to a LAN. To provide protection against unauthorized access to the transmitted data, SSPT-2M firewalls are installed. Telephone communication of the Altai customs in customs posts is organized based on telephone exchanges of Nortel CS 1000E TDM. Regular power supply of the equipment of customs posts is provided using uninterruptible power supply units of ARS Smart UPS XL with a possibility of remote control.
"As a result the customer received the upgraded telecommunication network based on the equipment of the advanced producers. It allowed to improve considerably quality of processing and data transmission and to effectively use to the staff of customs all opportunities of modern means of communication", – Egorov Dmitry, the director of system integration of NETA company in Barnaul emphasizes.
Today, in the Altai customs the voice communication, e-mail successfully works, access for users to internal information resources is organized, operational information exchange between customs posts and check points is performed.
"Issues of development of information infrastructure were always priority for work of customs authorities. Considering the considerable extent of borders and remoteness of customs objects from each other, implementation of modern solutions significantly reduces costs for ensuring smooth operation of customs posts. Upgrade of the departmental integrated telecommunication network allowed us to increase reliability of work, provided security of the equipment and communication channels. Based on the implemented technical solutions development of information systems which will qualitatively improve passing of customs procedures is planned", – Marchenko Alexander, the chief of information and technical service of the Altai customs considers.
Construction of the departmental integrated communication network – not the first experience of NETA in implementation of large-scale projects for customs structures. In 2005 forces of NETA created the system of a video conferencing which covered 15 customs authorities across all Siberia. In 2007-2008 section of the departmental integrated telecommunication network for the Kemerovo customs is upgraded. In 2009 NETA completed the construction of a regional data processing center for the Siberian customs authority. For a substantial contribution to development of customs infrastructure of the Siberian region of NETA company the victory at the competition "Customs Olympus of 2009" organized by the Federal Customs Service of Russia in the "Best Customs Integrator of Siberian Federal District" nomination was awarded.
