On April 22, 2019 it became known of expenses of Apple on cloud services of Amazon. According to CNBC, costs exceed $30 million a month that is about 10% more, than the previous year.

In 2018 Apple spent about $350 million for the solutions Amazon Web Services (AWS). In the 2019th expenses in the amount of more than $360 million are expected. Though Apple is a large customer of Amazon, on iPhone producer only a small part of revenue of division of AWS which in 2018 made in total $25.66 billion is necessary (11% in turnover of Amazon).

Journalists studied public documentation and noted that Apple spends for cloud services of Amazon more than other large customers. For example, service of the order of the Lyft taxi agreed to spend for them from $300 million until the end of 2021, and the social network Pinterest announced readiness to invest in clouds of AWS more than $750 million to the middle of 2023. The Snapchat messenger is going to invest $1.1 billion in using cloud infrastructure of Amazon by the end of 2022.

CNBC notes that at Amazon income from clients which intend to involve AWS services in the future grows. By the end of 2018 the company had contracts for $19.3 billion which initial term of action exceeds 1 year.[1]
