Specialists of Fides company completed the project on automation of retail retail chain stores of "Gregory Arber" on a basis of 1C: Trade Management 8.

Start

The management of the enterprise selected the main condition of achievement of steady positions in competitive environment and recognition among target audience - the centralized management of retail sales. For its implementation it is necessary to understand what occurs in each shopping facility at a given time, to control the main business processes in shops, including:

  • receipt and movement of goods in warehouses;
  • implementation and return of goods from the buyer;
  • work with money: reflection of cash and cashless payment, collection of cash desk of shop;
  • pricing;
  • formation and granting discounts, support of loyalty systems;
  • inventory.

The enterprise needed an end-to-end information system which would provide operational receipt of data from the outlets located in 30 cities of Ukraine in the central office, allowed to control profitability, to analyze goods turnover rate, to increase business performance in times, difficult for retail.

As the consultant, the developer of the concept of future system and the contractor for its implementation specialists of Fides company were invited. For a basis for such system the software product "1C:Enterprise 8 was selected. Trade management for Ukraine".

Solution

Staff of Fides company jointly with specialists of the customer implemented the project in 9 months. Work was performed on the next stages: conceptual design, implementation of a system, integration testing, trial operation of a system, start in production operation.

Project management was exercised of the working group including specialists of Fides company and top managers of the enterprise.

In the course of implementation by specialists of Fides company training of staff of retail network in work with the implemented software product and a retail store equipment connected to a system was provided.

Now the new accounting system is developed in 40 retail stores in 30 cities of Ukraine and already allowed to achieve the following results:

  • Trade inventories of retail outlets of network are optimized. A system daily, when closing cash change, carries out reconciliation of quantity of the sold goods and its remaining balance. Thanks to it the staff of the central office receives a transparent picture of merchandising and quickly resolves issues on delivery to shops of necessary quantity of the necessary goods.
  • The prices are established on a centralized basis by the manager who is responsible for pricing that excludes an error probability or abuses of personnel of shop at manual entry of the prices.
  • Improvement of assortment policy and increase in efficiency of management of the wide range taking into account the changing needs of buyers allowed to achieve increase in sales volume of network.

Thanks to organized access to an information system to regime of the web client, the user the browser is enough to start the Internet, to conduct the Web server address and to work with the database in real time.

Opinion

The project manager from "Gregory Arber", the chief of accounting department Sventitskaya Victoria notes: "System" 1C:Enterprise 8. Trade management" daily provides the staff of the central office with up-to-date data e about work of each of 40 shops and network in general. Timely acquired information, allows to react flexibly to changes of the sales demand, to make strategically important decisions for preserving of profitability of the enterprise".

Result

The project helped to organize centralized operation by 40 shops in 30 cities of Ukraine. The management of the enterprise obtains reliable data about sales, the range and trade inventories of retail network, controls processes of pricing and implements uniform marketing policy. All this allowed Gregory Arber network to reach the profitability level exceeding average on the industry.
