The ArcelorMittal Temirtau creates the system of corporate communications

On October 4, 2013 the Beltel system integrator announced end of the large-scale project on upgrade of a corporate communication network of the ArcelorMittal Temirtau enterprise.

Project Objective

In corporate network "ArcelorMittal Temirtau" (volume about 9 thousand ports) also physically outdated automatic telephone exchanges worked morally. Wear of the equipment - the reason of low quality and reliability of communication at the enterprise therefore the decision on upgrade of network is made.

Creation of the new network corresponding to the level of the large international company is entrusted to specialists of Beltel. It is necessary to provide with the project a single platform for an operative and conference circuit and a unified number plan for all enterprise. The main requirement to new telecommunication infrastructure - reliability and fault tolerance.

Project Progress

Specialists of Beltel proposed the optimal solution conforming to requirements of the customer and project tasks on the basis of VoIP technology with a possibility of centralized operation and monitoring of all solution components.

Works are carried out on 14 platforms of the enterprise:

• 12 factory premises for departmental and technology communication of the plant in Temirtau;
• the platform for providing staff of the enterprise with trunking communication
• head office of the company.

In providing network of voice transmission equipment of Alcatel-Lucent company: the UPATS enterprises distributed across the territory two OmniPCX Enterprise, managing servers which centralized services are placed on two central objects of network, and on each of 12 peripheral objects — redundant carrying out for connection of subscriber capacity. For ampler opportunities of holding production conferences the MyTeamwork application entering a solution portfolio of Alcatel-Lucent for unified communications was implemented.

The increased fault tolerance of telecommunication infrastructure is provided by the built data network with high degree of reliability and reservation where Ethernet and package and optical transport are used at the same time. Feature of such solution - a progressive tense of preserving of operability of communication on objects in the conditions of emergency situations.

Ensuring stable functioning of the equipment of voice communications the contractor developed and implemented solutions of the guaranteed power supply, climatic control and remote condition monitoring of the equipment.

Project Results

Specialists of Beltel built the failsafe network providing to the staff of the enterprise more than 100 communication services, including the organization of production conferences with number of participants up to 250 people.
