ER-Telecom begins to implement projects to organize 6th generation Wi-Fi networks

2021: 6th Generation Wi-Fi Network

ER-Telecom Holding (TM "Дом.ru," "Дом.ru Business") on April 21, 2021 announced the start of business projects based on the organization of Wi-Fi networks of the Wi-Fi 6 standard. As noted in the company, this standard is the optimal solution for use at facilities with high user density or visitor traffic: offices, schools, hospitals, shopping centers, airports, stadiums, ice arenas and industrial enterprises.

ER-Telecom implemented its first Wi-Fi 6 project on the site of the Arctic Hall in Perm. To organize the 6th generation Wi-Fi network, a solution based on Huawei access points AirEngine 6760-X1, AirEngine 8760-X1-PRO, AirEngine 5760-10 with the Huawei AC6800v controller was deployed.

Even at the busiest points in the selected space, on the devices of individual participants, it was possible to achieve bandwidth up to 1Gbit/s for each of the simultaneously connected users (on whose devices measurements were made).

In the future, the experience gained in organizing next-generation Wi-Fi networks will be applied to the implementation of various commercial projects.

According to ER-Telecom, the Wi-Fi 6 standard solves several current tasks of business customers at once, and high data transfer speed, together with the possibility of comfortable work of many employees and customers at the same time with one access point, give business wide opportunities.

The deployment of such networks allows improving the quality of communication at any sites with a large number of user devices: in public places, large and small offices, exhibition halls, sports facilities, schools, hospitals, etc.
