Navicon implemented the system of marking Utrace for the Russian division of Aspen

2020: Marking system implementation

On August 6, 2020 the Navicon company reported that in May, 2020 it completed system implementation of L4 Utrace Hub and L4 Utrace Proxy – a cloud solution for integrated management of marking of medicines – for the Russian division of Aspen Group – Aspen Hels LLC.

According to the company, as well as to other pharmaceutical companies working in Russia, Aspen it was necessary to implement the system of marking of medicines meeting all requirements of the Russian legislation. The pharmaceutical company selected a cloud solution of L4 Utrace Hub which helps producers to manage marking of the products completely. IT solution was developed by Utrace company: it implemented the project in Aspen together with the partner in implementation of the systems of marking – Navicon system integrator.

Within the project on development and deployment two stages were selected, first of which started in February, 2019.

At the first stage the system ensuring functioning with contract producers in Russia and further distribution of the marked medicines was developed. Deployment of Utrace Hub came to the end at the end of January, 2020, and in February, 2020 a system was put into trial operation. For August, 2020 it is used for data acquisition about all transactions with the medicines produced in the territory of the Russian Federation: data exchange happens in the automatic mode and requires only control from users – the staff of Aspen. Messages are published in the IC MDLP according to requirements of the legislation of the Russian Federation.

Implementing solution for the medicines produced and marked at the foreign plants was the purpose of the second stage of the project. Specialists of Utrace and Navicon carried out development and deployment of the second stage in parallel with the first to provide project implementation in time. In order that foreign producers could order and receive cryptocodes from CSO (control station orders), in Aspen the Utrace Proxy system was also implemented.

In addition to implementation of Utrace Hub and Utrace Proxy specialists of developer implemented integration of Utrace HUB and Proxy with the WMS system of the 3PL-operator and global Track&Trace the Aspen system that allowed to provide the worthy level of automation of data exchange. For passing of validation of the solution the Utrace command prepared documentation on GAMP5 standard.
