The company Utrace has adapted the digital marking Utrace HUB management system to the needs of agrochemical manufacturers. The product update was released against the background of the planned launch of a pilot project Ministry of Industry and Trade RUSSIAN FEDERATION on digital labeling of certain types of fertilizers in consumer packaging. Utrace announced this on September 17, 2025.

According to the current draft resolution, the experiment of the Ministry of Industry and Trade will last from October 1, 2025 to August 31, 2026 and will affect certain types of fertilizers. Among them are potassium nitrates and other nitrates, potassium phosphates, as well as mineral and chemical fertilizers containing two or three nutrients. The main task of the experiment is to test all stages of the mandatory marking mechanism in the Honest Sign system before its full implementation.

In response to the legislative changes, Utrace has adapted the Utrace HUB cloud platform by preparing specialized tools for the market to manage agrochemical product labeling.

In addition, Utrace will offer agricultural market participants consulting support at all stages of the transition to digital labeling, including the preparation of the IT infrastructure of manufacturers and suppliers for new requirements. Inclusion in the unified register of domestic software

Utrace has announced the inclusion of the Utrace HUB cloud digital marking and traceability management system in the Unified Register of Domestic Software. Utrace announced this on May 26, 2025.

Digital labeling is the process of applying unique DataMatrix identification codes to goods, the main purpose of which is to ensure transparent accounting and tracking of product movement throughout the product distribution chain: from the manufacturer to the end consumer.

The mandatory labeling project in Russia covers dozens of industries. According to the current business process, the manufacturer or supplier of goods subject to mandatory labeling requirements orders DataMatrix codes in the Honest Sign state monitoring system, applies them to the products and transfers information about the application of such codes back to the Honest Sign.

The Utrace HUB is Utrace's flagship L4 IT solution that allows large companies with complex logistics structures to perform such procedures automatically. So, using the Utrace HUB, the manufacturer can order DataMatrix codes, and then report on the fact of labeling goods within the deadlines established by law.

The confirmed throughput of Utrace HUB is over 20 billion codes per year, which fully covers the needs of the largest industries, which produce several thousand SKUs every day. The implementation of the solution allows the company to maintain the continuity of production and high rates of putting products into circulation, as well as minimize human errors when manually managing the business process.

File:Aquote1.png
Our company stood at the origins of automation of digital labeling management processes, so it was a matter of time before our development was included in the Register. Over the years, we have accumulated extensive experience in launching labeling in many industries, so we are ready to provide all the necessary consulting support related to the preparation of the IT infrastructure, as well as the transition to work according to the new requirements of the regulator. In addition, we continue to constantly develop our product and adapt it to changes in legislation. All new software capabilities are automatically available to our customers. This saves users from the need for complex development and support of an IT solution, "said Evgeny Sidorenko, Marketing Director of Utrace.

Data entry via Utrace Mobile app

Data entry into the Utrace HUB, a Level L4 cloud solution for comprehensive labeling management, has become available through the Utrace Mobile app. Utrace customers can now scan barcodes and transfer labeled product data from the warehouse or manufacturing site directly to the Utrace HUB system. This is another step towards ensuring full traceability of goods. Utrace (Utrace) announced this on May 19, 2025.

According to Russian legislation, dozens of types of goods fall under the requirements of mandatory labeling. In order to ensure the transfer of labeling code information to the state IP, companies are introducing L4-level products - track & trace systems - into the IT landscape that track the life cycle of labeled products, from ordering Data Matrix codes to selling goods.

Typically, Data Acquisition Terminals (shipping documentation) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMSs) that support the Data Matrix are used to collect data on labeled product operations. The Data Matrix shipping documentation scans the item code or barcode of the shipping box. Information about the operation, including the list of scanned codes, is transmitted from the WMS to the L4 Utrace HUB via integration.

With the Utrace Mobile app installed on data collection terminals, you can work with marked goods in a warehouse without WMS. In this case, data is transmitted directly to the L4-Utrace HUB system. At the same time, Utrace Mobile app supports work with various types of data collection terminals - from the most popular in the classic form factor to the ring scanner. If the company does not have shipping documentation, the application can be used on a regular smartphone basis - Android it replaces the scanner.

As of May 2025, the application supports the operation of several basic business processes in the warehouse. Among them:

  • Shipment to customers and between branches. The process allows you to control the shipping process, from receiving a shipment plan from the ERP system to scanning, checking all items, and sending data to ERP for shipping documents.
  • Aggregation of transport and group packages. The process of aggregation and transformation of packages in the mobile application records all changes about the movement of goods. Both the aggregation of the shipping packaging codes of the imported goods and the identification code of the group packaging are covered, if such a process is provided in the warehouse.
  • Acceptance of returns from customers. The application provides the process of accepting returns from customers - for this, the marking codes of each item of goods are scanned. The operation results are transmitted to the Utrace HUB side for further verification of the received codes.
  • Checking code status. With the application, you can check the status of each tag code, its location and ownership, which prevents errors in the shipment and acceptance of goods.

Utrace Mobile App also implements a production scenario that allows you to work with printing units. It is implemented in several stages:

  • Rollers with marking codes are ordered in the printing house and come to the warehouse, in parallel, data on rollers and marking codes are uploaded electronically from the printing house directly to the L4 Utrace HUB.
  • Using the Utrace Mobile App, the operator of the production line scans the ranges of marking codes from the video and transmits data to the L4 Utrace HUB, where, based on this, reports on the application and entry of goods into circulation are generated based on the marked marking codes.

{{quote 'Working in conjunction with the L4 Utrace HUB, our application allows you to ensure complete product traceability. This is especially true for small warehouses that do not have the ability to significantly modify the WMS system for labeling requirements, or production lines where it is impossible to install the application line and machine vision. There are already several installations of the mobile application, and in one of the projects it is used by warehouse employees on more than 500 mobile devices at the same time. In the coming versions, it is planned to support work with plans for the acceptance of goods between branches for more accurate planning of commodity flows, as well as receiving typesetting sheets from ERP systems to improve the quality of the process of picking goods, "said Elena Dyachkova, product owner Utrace Mobile app. }}

Preparation for the introduction of mandatory labelling of vegetable oils

Utrace, a developer of systems for serializing goods, has prepared the flagship product Utrace HUB for the introduction of mandatory labeling of vegetable oils. The IT solution will allow market participants to transfer product information to the regulator within the deadlines established by law and will protect companies from financial risks. Utrace announced this on December 26, 2023.

On December 21, 2023, an experiment was launched on the labeling of vegetable oils in consumer packaging. And from September 2024 it will become mandatory. Serialization, that is, the application of labeling codes or Data Matrix codes on consumer packaging and reporting on them, will affect sunflower, olive, rapeseed, coconut, soy, peanut and other oils of vegetable or microbiological origin, their fractions, as well as mixtures of fats and oils and finished products from them

Manufacturers, wholesale and retail organizations and importers will have to prepare for the new requirements of the law: companies will have to transmit to the regulator information about each serialized commodity unit and its movement. To do this, they will need specialized equipment, as well as special software - a corporate traceability system that allows them to take into account serialized products, their movement and report to the state GIS MT system ("Honest Sign").

Utrace HUB will help companies ensure all Data Matrix accounting requirements for codes and their transmission to GIS MT in the format and within the time frame indicated by the regulator. This is a flexible cloud platform that allows you to quickly deploy the functionality necessary to organize volume and varietal accounting in production of any scale. System throughput - more than 20 billion codes annually. It can be integrated with IT solutions for warehouse and production accounting. Ability to use soft drinks, juices and children's water labeling information to communicate

Utrace on August 24, 2023 announced an update to the L4 Utrace HUB cloud track & trace system. Now manufacturers of sweet soft drinks, juices and children's water will be able to use it to transfer information about product labeling to state accounting systems. This will allow the business to quickly adapt the IT infrastructure to the requirements of the legislation, which will come into force in 2023.

In 2023, the Ministry of Industry and Trade launched several experiments on digital labeling at once, under which popular products fell - children's water, sweet soda, juices, fruit drinks, kvass, compotes, as well as drinks based on soybeans, nuts, cereals and seeds. After the end of the experiments, manufacturers of such goods will be required to apply codes to special Data Matrix packages, as well as transfer information about labeled products to the Honest Sign state monitoring system.

This measure should significantly reduce the falsification of products. Thus, according to the estimates of the center of the industry economy of NIFI, the share of counterfeit goods only in the sweet water segment is about 20%. According to research by the Higher School of Economics, labeling will protect the rights of legal manufacturers and reduce sales of illegal products by at least 70%. This will contribute to an increase in the net profit of soft drink producers by 8.6 billion rubles a year, and juice producers - by 4.5 billion rubles. At the same time, budget revenues can grow by 4.3 billion rubles a year for the soft drinks market and by 2.5 billion rubles for the juice market.

File:Aquote1.png
Digital beverage labeling technologies have long been worked out in other product groups, among which there is already water, milk and beer. They use the same form factors, the same technologies for applying and transmitting codes to the regulator that the business has used before. Therefore, the transition to mandatory labeling of these product groups can be expected soon enough. The Utrace HUB will allow you to prepare for all changes in legislation in the field of serialization of goods and adapt business processes in advance to work in new conditions. Our team has deep expertise in this area and is ready to provide comprehensive support to Russian companies, "said Sergey Ignatkin, director of Utrace products.

Ensuring the marking of caviar, juices and sweet water

Utrace will help producers of caviar, juices and sweet water switch to mandatory labeling. Utrace HUB, a Level L4 cloud solution, will allow businesses to protect themselves from possible financial risks and gradually ensure full product traceability. The developer announced this on May 23, 2023.

In May 2023, experiments were launched to label black and red caviar, as well as certain types of soft drinks, including juices. The transition to mandatory labeling of caviar, sweet and soft drinks will take place in three stages. At the first, companies will select suppliers of solutions for serializing goods and begin to transmit information about the Data Matrix codes entered into circulation to the regulator. At the intermediate stage, the business will need to implement volume and varietal accounting of products with detailed data for each batch of product.

The third stage of the transition to mandatory labeling will be the full traceability of the movement of goods. The manufacturer will have to transmit to the CRPT all information about the shipment and actual sale of each commodity unit. This phase will entail major changes to the entire supply chain. Businesses will need digital solutions that will build relationships and hierarchies of nested product identification codes, take into account each product and transfer data to the regulator without unpacking pallets and boxes. The Utrace Hub can prepare in advance for the transition to full product traceability.

File:Aquote1.png
Utrace has extensive track & trace experience and is ready to support the business involved in the experiment, starting from the earliest stages of the transition to digital labeling. The introduction of a complete traceability of the movement of caviar, juices and sweet water is expected no earlier than 2025. This is a sufficient time to prepare in advance for work in the new conditions. To guarantee consumers 100% product quality and increase revenue by displacing counterfeit goods from the market, manufacturers should think about deploying specialized software, "said Sergey Ignatkin, Director of Utrace Products.

Automation of labeling data exchange with EAEU countries

The company, a Utrace developer of solutions for serialization of goods, will help customers submit data cross-border shipment of labeled products in. countries EEU The solution automatically sends reports to, the Russian MT GIS from where they are automatically sent to state the system of the importing country. Utrace announced this on May 17, 2023.

Since the end of 2021, it has become mandatory to submit information on the cross-border shipment of labeled goods to the EAEU countries Armenia Belarus:,,,. Kazakhstan Kyrgyzstan Data is transferred to the state system of labeling of the importing country, after which the information must be accepted on the side of the recipient. Product labeling codes and GTINs are mutually recognized by EAEU member countries.

Earlier, due to the relatively small volume of operations, the exchange of information on the cross-border movement of goods with the GIS of the EAEU countries was carried out manually. Now information on shipments is automatically transmitted to the GIS MT and then sent to the state systems of the EAEU member countries. On the receiving country side, GTIN codes are checked: whether they are in the system, whether they really belonged to the counterparty who sends them. Then they can be accepted and used.

For May 2023, the functionality is available for companies shipping to Belarus. In the near future, companies operating in other EAEU markets will have similar opportunities.

File:Aquote1.png
Utrace decided to upgrade the Utrace HUB system in order to maximize the automation of routine business processes in cross-border data exchange. One of the difficulties along this path is the need to expect verification from the recipient. Usually, confirmation that the counterparty for its part has accepted the delivery takes several days. We have configured the Utrace HUB in such a way that as soon as the delivery is approved by the recipient, the system will immediately display the current status, manual control is not required. This will speed up business processes for companies operating in the EAEU markets, "said Sergey Ignatkin, Director of Utrace Products.

Launch in Bahrain

Utrace in mid-November 2022 announced its entry into the Bahrain market. The Russian developer of product labeling technologies proposed a universal connector that made it possible to build a sequence and logic for transferring data on pharmaceutical products to be labeled to the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA) regulatory system in two months.

The integration of the Utrace Hub with the state system of the Kingdom of Bahrain will allow international pharmaceutical companies operating or entering the region to accurately and on time transmit information about labeled products to the national operator National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA). Integration with NHRA allows you to build the business logic of data transfer using the Utrace HUB in accordance with the requirements of a specific regulator.

Russian developer of goods labeling technologies Utrace entered the Bahrain market

The correctness of the route when transferring data from the Utrace Hub to the national system of Bahrain is ensured by the so-called country router. It allows you to transfer data to the desired system in the correct format, regardless of whether a particular file contains item numbers of goods in the international GTIN classification, or only SSCC codes of pallets and boxes. The operation of the system was successfully tested: the NHRA system successfully accepted the file from the Utrace Hub and registered the information received.

When configuring the interaction between Utrace Hub and NHRA, Utrace took into account local specifics. In particular, Bahrain uses the global standard GS1 EPCIS 1.2 to exchange data between counterparties. EPCIS-format information messages simultaneously broadcast the full traceability chain of goods to be serialized in NHRA-MVC. The data package includes a message about the use of marking codes, data about the aggregation of primary packages into transport, as well as information about shipment to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Encryption and signing of documents is carried out through the use of the AS2 exchange protocol, which provides synchronous data transfer in real time with immediate delivery messages.

Utrace Hub Track & Trace solution upgrade for Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan markets

Utrace announced on October 20, 2022, an upgrade to the Track & Trace solution of the Utrace Hub. The system has introduced functionality that allows you to scale the product in a short time to work in other regions and integrate it with national labeling systems. The solution has already been adapted for the markets of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

Illustration: pharmvestnik.ru

Utrace has developed connectors Utrace HUB for integration with various national marking systems: for example, IS MPT with for Kazakhstan and ASL Belgisi for. Uzbekistan They allow you to build the transfer process and logic data in accordance with the requirements of the regulator in a particular region. Thus, to bring products to the markets Russia , it is necessary to transfer state system data on more than 40 operations related to product labeling to the data. Kazakhstan In and such Uzbekistan operations are much less. Some steps also differ, the obligation of certain attributes. Connectors in the Utrace Hub allow you to take into account such differences in order to accurately and on time transfer the necessary data to national marking systems. The connectors are interchangeable and need not be further developed by the customer.

Another update is the country router routing system, which allows Utrace Hub to send reporting documents to the GIS of the desired country. The router is useful for international companies with several representative offices in different countries. Country router allows you to automatically process files from production sites, determine to the market of which country the product nomenclature number (GTIN) belongs, and transfer data in the correct format to the desired state labeling system: for example, to IS MPT, ASL Belgisi, FSIS MDLP, etc. Country router can determine the market, including for files that do not contain GTIN, but have only SSCC pallet and box codes. Thanks to this, regardless of the number of countries that the customer needs to connect, it is not necessary to adapt exchange formats on the side of production sites.

Both connectors and router are add-ons over the Utrace HUB system that can be deployed in a short time without making changes to the basic Track & Trace modules of the solution. Thanks to this, the adaptation of the product to any market takes only 2-3 months.

When bringing the Utrace Hub to market, the company initially focused on building a modular architecture that allows you to combine system components with each other and provides for the option of sending certain labeling operations to the state system. This flexibility allows you to meet the most stringent customer and regulatory requirements. In 2022, the main customers are pharmaceutical companies that do business around the world. Their business processes take into account serialization and labeling, so the choice of a Track & Trace solution becomes business critical for them. The implementation of the Utrace Hub ensures that all reports are processed and accepted by the state information system regardless of the region of presence of the company or how many transactions have been carried out with the product,

Expansion of drug labeling management functionality

Utrace on May 27, 2022 announced the update of the Utrace HUB labeling system.

The Track & Trace system has received a number of updates to manage drug labeling. The functionality related to the management and editing of messages for FGIS MDLP, labeling of goods in customs warehouses and parallel work of several legal entities has been expanded. In addition, updated dashboards have become available to users for monitoring deliveries, tracking shipments to counterparties and the timing of sending messages to the FSIS MDLP.

One of the key innovations in Utrace HUB is the ability to work in parallel in one system of several legal entities with the distinction of access rights. Each legal entity sees only its own processes and reports in the system according to the setup for items and events, as well as the balance of funds on the account for each marketing authorization holder. A large pharmaceutical company with several structural divisions can quickly deploy a single ecosystem for managing product labeling.

Also, Utrace HUB has expanded the functionality for working with messages for FGIS MDLP. Now you can manually edit the date of dissolution of tertiary (transport) packaging, as well as information about the shipment of medicines to the owner, if incorrect data comes from external systems . If FGIS MDLP is unavailable, accumulated messages are automatically sent to the state information system at the moment of its resumption.

The tool for intelligent processing of messages about warehouse transactions coming from 3PL operators has appeared. It allows you to sort and organize data on many parallel processes in warehouses, organize reports in chronological order and send them to the FSIS MDLP in the correct sequence. If only the final aggregation result is received from the warehouse system, the Utrace HUB analyzes the result and breaks it down into finished reports in the MDLP. Thanks to this, all reports will be successfully processed and accepted by the state information system, regardless of how many operations were carried out with the drug product.

Batch history helps you track shipments of batches. For example, if the delivery is divided into several shipments, it is difficult to track the entire batch during the stages of acceptance, customs clearance and putaway. In the Utrace HUB, the user can see the whole picture. Dashboard "Events 415" shows information on all shipments, allows you to instantly identify inaccuracies in reports and check whether this or that shipment is accepted by a business partner. Finally, the Reporting dates dashboard helps track the timing of sending data to the FGIS MDPL depending on the types of operations and avoid sanctions for violating them.

We try to make the labeling process as simple and automated as possible for manufacturing companies. The updated functionality of the Utrace HUB will allow them to process product data faster and more accurately, as well as strictly comply with the requirements of the legislation in the field of serialization of goods, "said Sergey Ignatkin, director of product at Utrace.
