2021: EME.WMS Implementation
The Astoria Cosmetics perfume and cosmetics company and the developer of WMS solutions, the EMC company, have completed a comprehensive project to automate the warehouse complex during production. This was announced by ME on October 25, 2021.
Astoria Cosmetics constantly strengthens and expands its production and trading capacities, introducing innovative solutions and current technologies.
To continue the successful and confident development, Astoria Cosmetics has begun a project to automate the warehouse complex. The main task of the project was the introduction of a professional turnkey WMS. The system developer and integrator was chosen by the company EM.
EMC has all the necessary resources to complete the full cycle projects. EME audits warehouse operations, develops and implements WMS, supplies necessary equipment and software, technical support and system maintenance. These competencies were key in selecting a supplier, and EME.WMS functionality fully managed the warehouse as the business grew.
The warehouse of finished products during the production of Astoria Cosmetics is located in the Lyubertsy district of the Moscow region.
The total storage area is 5000 sq.m. The warehouse complex provides floor storage, is equipped with pallet narrow racks. When developing the automation system, it was necessary to take into account the large number of product items stored in the warehouse (about 900 active items), eliminate problems with re-sorting, and reduce the influence of the human factor.
During the implementation of the project, the area of the warehouse complex was expanded, which was also taken into account when performing various improvements.
To work with narrow-pass racks, an interception cell is implemented, which is necessary for transferring the assembled order from a narrow-pass stacker to a regular one.
Delivery control is implemented (the order is collected by several storekeepers and merged into one cell).
Implemented integration with corporate. 1C The EMC specialists carried out the refinement both on the WMS side and on the side. 1C
A comprehensive solution from EMC turnkey provided:
- Development and implementation of EME.WMS.
- Supply and set-up of the shipping documentation - Honeywell EDA60K.
- Supply and configuration of server equipment.
- Delivery and configuration of label printers - TSC ML240P.
- Organization of Wi-Fi in the warehouse and supply of network equipment.
- Integration with 1C.
As a result of the project, all warehouse processes are optimized. The management of the warehouse complex noted a significant increase in the KPI of employees, a decrease in the influence of the human factor, minimizing errors and ensuring "transparency" of work.
