Atos Migrates to Private SAP S/4HANA Cloud

2021: Transition to SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Atos was one of the first global partners of SAP to migrate to the private version of SAP S/4HANA Cloud. This became known on November 10, 2021. This is the main component of the RISE with SAP proposal, announced in 2021.

This project was implemented in a short time and covered the entire Atos business - 107,000 employees in 71 countries. In less than nine months, Atos has moved all 42 business-critical systems with more than 500 interfaces from the local SAP S/4HANA release to the cloud version of SAP S/4HANA Cloud. These include platforms for financial, logistics and personnel management, as well as programs for data analysis.

Atos is equipped with advanced solutions to support SAP's own digital infrastructure. With low-speed cloud connectivity, Atos can leverage AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, and blockchain technologies to accelerate innovation and new solutions.

With SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Atos optimizes recurring operations so IT teams can focus on innovations and projects that deliver real value to the business. Atos also supports its customers who want to safely implement or migrate to SAP S/4HANA Cloud through RISE with SAP.

RISE with SAP is a comprehensive business-as-a-service (BTaaS) offering designed to support and accelerate step-by-step digital upgrades, starting with an assessment of existing processes to optimize them for the cloud infrastructure that SAP selects according to the customer's individual needs.

In support of this offer, Atos is implementing the Atos OneCloud initiative, providing customers with cloud experience. This will help accelerate customer digitalization with RISE with SAP, enabling a manageable, secure, and decarbonized transition to the cloud.

Moving to the cloud from the local system also supports Atos' goal of decarbonization, which is to achieve net zero by 2028. This suggests that Atos uses only the necessary resources, thereby reducing its carbon footprint.
