2025: Implementation of "1C: Holding Management "
Korus Consulting Group of Companies has automated budgeting of August-Agro on the basis of 1C: Holding Management. Korus announced this on April 24, 2025. The project covered 12 holding organizations working in such areas as crop production, animal husbandry, grain processing and storage. As a result, the company unified planning processes for all agricultural enterprises, accelerated the procedures for group recalculation of budgets and the formation of consolidated reporting.
August-Agro is a project of the Russian manufacturer of chemical plant protection products August to develop its own agricultural facilities. The company specializes in several areas: crop production using No-till technology ("zero" tillage), dairy farming with robotic farms and storage of products in elevator complexes. As of April 2025, the holding manages 260 thousand hectares of agricultural land in Russia and 14.9 thousand hectares in Kazakhstan, contains 9 thousand heads of cattle, and also has powerful elevators and grain drying complexes.
Previously, the company used Excel for budgeting processes, which reduced the speed and quality of planning. The goal of the project was to introduce an automated system that can reduce labor costs and unify workflows. Considering that August-Agro has already used 1C: Holding Management for procurement in the work of the Treasury, it was decided to develop a budgeting unit based on this system. The IT partner was KORUS Consulting Group, which has accumulated expertise on the digitalization of agricultural enterprises.
The project began with the formation of a budget model and the configuration of prototypes in the IT system. It was important to launch the solution in a short time so that employees could conduct a budget campaign for 2025 already in 1C: UX. The team combined implementation with pilot operation: as budget models were developed for each area of activity, IT specialists made settings in the work base. In parallel, the customer checked their correctness using data for 2024. Within three months, the main functionality was implemented, after which the company entered data for 2025 and prepared summary reports. The budget was formed and protected on time.
As part of the project, the tools for planning direct and indirect expenses, the formation of the revenue and expenditure budget (MDD) and the cash flow budget (DDD) were implemented. The team implemented more than 125 forms in "1C: UX," automated the budgets of crop and livestock enterprises, elevators, a dealership, as well as the formation of consolidated MDR and BDDS. Specialists integrated the system with AdeptIS: Agrocomlex, 1C: Accounting, 1C: Payroll and HR Management, normalized regulatory reference information.
As a result, the agricultural holding has achieved uniformity of data entry forms for all business areas: now the procedure for group recalculation of budgets can be carried out in a few hours. Cost item curators no longer need the help of economists to decipher budget data - the information in the system has become more accessible and understandable for management. Now the time for generating summary reports has been reduced by 24 hours, the process of adjusting data - by 8-16 hours. After the completion of the project, August-Agro and KORUS Consulting continue to cooperate in the development of the solution and technical support. In the future, the agricultural holding plans to launch the functions of analyzing actual costs and budget execution, as well as develop the functionality of the treasury and procurement in 1C: UX.
We are grateful to the KORUS Consulting team for being able to understand the specifics of our business in a short time and introduce a budgeting unit. A structured project approach, strong competencies of IT specialists and the involvement of our employees helped to implement the project and conduct a budget campaign on time, "said Gumer Zakirov, Executive Director of August-Agro Management Company. |
Automation of financial planning not only formalizes the process and strengthens budgetary discipline, but also generally contributes to improving the efficiency of decision-making. A unified methodology for all legal entities of the holding, transparent planning and execution control is the basis for the financial stability of the company, - said Aleksei Morozov, Deputy General Director for Finance of August-Agro Management Company. |
In the project, we set ourselves two key tasks - the implementation and verification of a rather complex budget model that would take into account the features of three types of agribusiness, as well as support for the August-Agro budget process, so that the company could plan finances for 2025 as part of the pilot operation of the solution. I believe that we coped with these tasks, including thanks to productive interaction with the customer, - added Pavel Martikainen, curator of projects at KORUS Consulting Group of Companies. |
