Aviastar-SP Ltd completes upgrade of IT infrastructure

Aviastar-SP Ltd and Jet Infosystems company start in work a modern data processing center for the benefit of Aviastar-SP Ltd.

Task

In connection with the large-scale production program on construction of modern passenger and transport airplanes and also transition to digital technologies at the enterprise volumes of the processed and stored in electronic form information considerably increased, the quantity of jobs of users of information systems several times increased. For consolidation of computing resources, cutting of costs for operation, increases in fault tolerance and centralization of management of IT infrastructure the decision on construction of DPC was made.

Solution

"Aviastar joint venture" and Jet Infosystems completed the complex project of creation of a scalable data processing center: from construction preparation of the premises before creation of a complex of the engineering systems. At design of DPC requirements "Aviastar joint venture" in further expansion of the park of the equipment and increase in power of engineering subsystems were considered.

Specialists of Jet Infosystems company designed and implemented engineering subsystems of turnkey DPC. All life support systems are installed: systems of regular power supply, ventilation and conditioning, gas fire extinguishing, access control and video surveillance, structured cabling system (SCS). In the project used the advanced technical solutions of Eaton companies (uninterruptible power supply units) and Emerson (conditioners). For ensuring fault tolerance the most part of subsystems has reservation, and on a case of interruptions in the electric power of DPC is expected connection of the diesel generator unit to it.

In addition in DPC the system of physical security which allows to trace all malfunctions of the equipment is constructed. This solution is going to be integrated with the central security system of the enterprise that will allow to send automatically information from sensors of the incidents set on all subsystems of DPC on the receiver.

"High rates of development "Aviastar joint venture" require appropriate level of preparation of IT infrastructure therefore construction of modern DPC is strategically important project for our enterprise. 2013: Upgrade project completion

On October 2, 2013 it became known that Aviastar-SP Ltd and Jet Infosystems company completed the project of creation of failsafe IT infrastructure: server complexes of the main and reserve DPC on the IBM Power platform are accepted in operation, synchronous replication at the level of DWH is configured, the modern backup system is implemented.

Project Tasks

The project is implemented within the program of upgrade of an IT landscape "Aviastar joint venture". The first stage of the program was completed in June, 2012 and the local computer network is upgraded.

One of the most responsible project tasks - transfer to the new platform of a production information system in which the main design documents and digital models of nodes and units of airplanes are stored. A system is in operation therefore migration was carried out taking into account criticality of idle time of services and an exception of losses of production data.

Project Progress

Servers of two data centers of the plant are united in failsafe infrastructure with a possibility of switching of services between DPC. The general storage area network to which are connected by DWH of both platforms is created, at the level of disk arrays synchronous replication is configured. The centralized system of backup of Symantec NetBackup is implemented: all objects and processes of backup are provided in the single interface that significantly accelerates setup and holding procedures of creation of the copies and also data retrieval necessary at recovery.

The monitoring system on the SolarWinds software platform controlling availability and performance of active network equipment, servers and DWH - more than 20 objects is created.

Project Results

"Aviastar-SP company" received in the order the modern industrial solution which reliably protects systems, most significant for business, not only from failures of the equipment and software, but also from emergencies at the level of DPC. Switching between data centers takes about 5-10 minutes, and for the end user there is no difference at what platform services as their performance is identical work", – the associate director of the Center of design of computer systems of Jet Infosystems company Andrey Shaposhnikov noted.
