Reduktor-PM completed upgrade of a local network

On July 18, 2017 the INLINE Technologies company announced the project of upgrade of a local computer network of "Aviation a Reducer and Transmission — Perm Motors" manufacturing enterprise (JSC Reduktor-PM.

Project Tasks

Project objectives - to increase network performance, to increase its fault tolerance and to provide uninterrupted execution of production processes.

This project - a part of complex events which the company integrator held in JSC Reduktor-PM for development of the heterogeneous network infrastructure created on the Cisco platform. Need to use the Russian equipment is caused by geopolitical country situation and corresponding change of internal regulations of the customer.

For satisfaction of requirements of JSC Reduktor-PM it was required to increase capacity of one of sections of network. Set the task of expansion of functionality of the operating network technologies with preserving of level of equipment of this segment of infrastructure for INLINE Technologies. In parallel the customer gave a task to analyze bottlenecks of network infrastructure of the enterprise and to replace an obsolete equipment taking into account business requirements to the speed and reliability of IT services.

Project Progress

After market research and testing of options of import substitution of telecommunication products specialists of integrator organized in a nodal segment a point of concentration of traffic on the basis of a cluster of the high-speed switches of production of "Russian Corporation of Means of Communication" (RCMC) certified by FSTEC of Russia and meeting requirements of the customer for security.

Specialists of the contractor executed integration of a cluster with networked environment of Cisco, customized a core of network and network infrastructure management systems. Telecommunication equipment of Russian Telecom Equipment Company is used for upgrade and other sections of corporate network.

Project Results

Long time we with care treated products of the Russian production and, having been faced the need to change technical preferences under standards of Helicopters of Russia holding and the growing requirements of business, looked for among producers and integrators of those who not only will be able to perform supply of "iron", but also will take the responsibility for a project deliverable and will provide the qualified support for all term of lifecycle of a switching equipment. Risks were very high – the IT industry for years developed on the basis of the western solutions and technologies. But we calculated that presence at INLINE Technologies of experience with the domestic equipment will allow to minimize these risks. And our expectations were met: we found on behalf of INLINE Technologies of the reliable partner who held testing, picked up an optimal configuration and that the most important, carried out complex works on integration of domestic and foreign goods.
