SAP will be connected to service of toll roads in Russia

In May, 2018 state company Avtodor also SAP CIS announced the beginning of partnership in a reach of toll roads. As the CEO of SAP CIS explained Natalia Parmenova, there are two main directions on which the companies are going to work within this partnership. One of them - study of the idea of creation of a diversified system of tariffing to meet requirements of different types of clients of Avtodor in the field of use of toll roads.

Due to creation of more individual rates for different customer groups Avtodor expects to expand target audience of the company.

The second direction is predictive repairs, Parmenova says. The most part of activity of Avtodor is connected with effective operation of roads, and in this area of SAP is going to impart experience, generally German, on creation of a system of predictive repairs.

We hope that within partnership of SAP will help Avtodor state company to increase quality and comfort of roads for users, on the one hand, and also to cut down expenses on their construction and operation – with another, - the CEO of SAP CIS said.

It should be noted that the issue of increase in cost efficiency faces Avtodor rather sharply. In the middle of 2017, for example, the Accounts Chamber reported that Avtodor cut down maintenance costs of highways at the expense of own means the previous year and increased expenses on their maintenance by a subsidy, undeveloped within an overhaul. It contradicts the principle of efficiency of use of budgetary funds, and in 2017 entailed need of additional financing from the federal budget for earlier not complete objects of major repair, auditors noted^[1].

SAP CIS specified TAdviser that at the time of signing of the memorandum of cooperation with Avtodor the stack of software products which could be used for implementation of the conceived ideas, is not defined yet. It still should be worked.

The head of Avtodor Sergey Kelbakh so explained to TAdviser the choice of SAP as the technology partner in service of toll roads:

Task of state company - to introduce the best world practices in development of road infrastructure, and it is not important whose they - Russian or international. And as very important point is synchronization of both construction standards, and technology regulations of Russia and Western Europe, in this case cooperation with SAP well fits into ideology, - he noted.
