The Russian subsidiary of the producer of sensors and sensors for automation of Baluff passed to SAP Business One

On December 17, 2020 Baluff company, the Russian division of the international corporation Balluff, component manufacturer for industrial automation, within global strategy passed to SAP Business One. As the partner in implementation the CMD-Soft company, the external partner – United Harmony (HK) company acted.

According to the company, passed the Moscow office of the company to SAP Business One, including a service warehouse both the service and technical centers, eight representations in regions of Russia. Now all business processes of the Russian subsidiary are performed in SAP Business One, including accounting, formation of orders and sale that allows the head company to obtain information in real time in case of need. The platform is also integrated with distributors and online store of the company where the buyer can independently look at the goods price, the discount, existence of products in a warehouse, approximate delivery dates and to trace each of the ordered positions in the online mode.

Many processes were optimized, risks of dependence on a human factor decreased, there was a management tool stocks, budgets, the interchangeability in a command was optimized. So, the speed of acceptance of management decisions increased twice, and the quantity of human errors decreased five times. Sales managers had an opportunity to quickly create offers and to independently keep track of the results of sales. Speed of creation, processing and accomplishment of orders increased on average by 1.5 times, the turnover of a warehouse improved for 10%. Thanks to the maximum process automation, delivery time to clients was reduced by a week.

Besides, process of control of arrears and informing clients is automated that allowed to minimize situations with delays of shipments because of payment delays. The system of exchange of documents with partners by means of electronic document management is adjusted.

Thus, Business One SAP implementation in general in a positive side affected both customer relations, and the working atmosphere in the company, having changed approach to solving of tasks.

Further the Russian subsidiary of Baluff should undergo audit in this system, to optimize integration with the systems of SAP in the head company and also to make all processes the simplest that any employee could be up on quickly. In the long term Baluff is going to pass to the SAP S/4HANA platform.

SAP implementation of Business One allowed to be integrated into the ERP system of SAP of the head company, to reorganize internal processes, having made them more transparent and clear. Also we avoided manual creation of a number of managerial reports which can be created three times quicker now. Besides, we could optimize the level of service and we already see positive effect in terms of growth of the customer base.
