On February 17, 2014 the Jet Infosystems company announced readiness of the failsafe DPC constructed by request of Bank of Moscow.
Project Tasks
After entry of Bank into VTB Group in 2011, business of the commercial organization grew quicker than the market that demanded accumulation of computing powers and quick reaction of IT on business requests. Characteristics of the available data centers did not allow to increase in them the number of the equipment, therefore the Bank made the decision on creation of new DPC - with a possibility of further development of IT infrastructure and conveniences of operation.
For placement of data center Bank of Moscow selected the building of construction of 1897, around the Boulevard ring as the most suitable.
Based on tender by the general contractor in the project there was a Jet Infosystems company. For control of compliance of DPC to the international standard (in terms of documentation and execution) invited the company auditor.
Project Progress
Partners in the project built DPC in the downtown. The made complex of works: from construction preparation of the building before implementation of the engineering systems. At design the capitals of restriction on energy consumption and use of the territory, adjacent to the building, existing in the center, building density were considered. The DPC conforms to requirements of the Russian supervisory authorities and also the international quality standard of TIA-942.
The project was broken into several stages, each of which underwent approval of the forthcoming works with supervisory authorities and the company auditor. Specialists of a project team implemented construction and architectural preparation: indoors in 350 sq.m it is created water - and the air-tight pressurized zone (module) that the equipment of data center allowed to locate, without having affected a facade.
The second stage of works - design and implementation of engineering subsystems. On everyone the modeling which is most considering requirements of the customer is carried out. The structured cabling system, the system of an electric lighting, the distributed power supply, gas fire extinguishing, regular power supply, control of parameters of the environment and the alarm signaling, access control and video surveillance, conditioning and ventilation are created. Detailed calculation helped to use the small adjacent territory for placement of the diesel generator set. All systems are redundant according to scheme 2N.
Project Results

Consolidation simplified service of IT infrastructure and also reduced operating costs. Besides, the main task of IT of bank is ensuring continuity of functioning of main systems of customer service and calculations as even short-term idle time can turn back serious reputation and financial losses. Creation of new DPC with powerful and productive engineering infrastructure and the developed control system of access allows to reduce risks both operation of the existing key systems of bank, and start of new services".
