Bashinformsvyaz constructed commercial center of data processing

The company Open Technologies, the Russian system integrator, and JSC Bashinformsvyaz announced in September, 2013 completion of works on creation of the first module of commercial center of data processing.

The decision on creation of commercial center of data processing was made by JSC Bashinformsvyaz for the purpose of expansion of a range of the provided services.

Capacities of data center will help corporate clients of the operator to solve a set of problems at the optimal volume of costs and also to adjust the new directions in work of business structure. Besides, the data center will become the specialized technology platform for placement and smooth operation of different telecommunication equipment.

According to the commercial director of JSC Bashinformsvyaz Oleg Leonidovich Scriabin, "if to look at structure of the Russian market of commercial DPCs, then construction of such center in Ufa is a certain break in telecommunication business not only our company today, but also our region in general. In the Republic the shortage of hi-tech platforms is felt. Our DPC - the convenient solution of a number of technological tasks for the large organizations of the Republic".

Preserving of an attractive ratio price/quality for future consumers of services on all project lifecycle and also high-quality ensuring service became one of priorities at design and construction of KTsOD. Therefore as a result of project researches and serious analytical work as the customer the decision on use of technology of modular construction of IT infrastructure was made. Such approach allowed to distribute optimum financial flows of investments according to stages of construction and sale of KTsOD services.

Specialists of the company Open Technologies booked audit of potential platforms for placement of a data processing center, development of outline drawings, technical requirements, the necessary project and work documentation is performed, and then delivery, installation and a commissioning of the equipment and systems is made.

KTsOD is separated into four independent modules, in fact separate DPCs which are completely independent from each other. Each of them is expected 600 kW of useful IT loading. The total area of the commercial DPC which was located so far on one of floors of the building of automatic telephone exchange is nearly 900 sq.m, net output – 1.2 MW. For placement of the client equipment in the center 120 server cabinets are provided. In the long term increase in capacities of KTsOD twice (up to 2.4 MW) and expansion of the square at the neighboring floor.

In the fall of 2013 the first module is put into operation. It is ready to accept 50% of the calculated loading. Other 50% will be increased in process of increase in number of clients. All necessary draft works are for this purpose performed, trunk communications are brought, and accumulation of capacities will happen without stopping the working equipment.

Infrastructure of commercial DPC Bashinformsvyaz allows to meet requirements even of the most exacting customers – from creation of the selected protected zones before placement of the high-loaded racks with "clouds". Both the companies of large business, and the state organizations as at creation all requirements for physical and information security are observed can use services of a data processing center.

Based on the available complex the operator proposes to corporate clients the simple solution of own local tasks, namely:

• placement of servers (collocation);
• lease of servers, hosting, data backup;
• lease of the software, etc.

Possibilities of data center Bashinformsvyaz is possibilities of centralization of information resources for the companies with geographically distributed structure and leases of necessary number of servers without the initial capital investments. Absolute security of the placed equipment and corporate data is guaranteed.

In more detail about technical aspect of the project:

The structured cabling system of DPC is constructed on the equipment of Brand-Rex company, and mounting constructs (racks, the system of isolation of a cold corridor, power distribution in racks) on the equipment CONTEG. During creation of the systems of the general, the guaranteed and regular power supply uninterruptible power supply units of DELTA, GESAN diesel generator sets and power automatic equipment of ABB are used. The system of precision cooling is constructed on chillers and conditioners of production of STULZ company. Fankoyla of production of DAIKIN company are applied to auxiliary premises. For construction of raised floors (height of 1000 mm) materials of Jansen company are used.

All crucial engineering equipment, nodes and units have extent of reservation from N+1 to 2N. All engineering infrastructure is under constant control of a system of automatic monitoring. Telecommunication racks of the 1st module are expected a resistive load from 7 kW (85% of racks) to 15 kW (15% of racks). At deployment of the subsequent modules loading of racks can be flexibly corrected without entering of cardinal changes into the project.
