Kraftway opened an IT Polygon at "The Bauman engineering school No. 1580"

2021: Creation of an IT Polygon

On February 8, 2021 the Kraftway company, one of the Russian producers of the entrusted ADP equipment, the developer and the supplier of complete infrastructure solutions, completed the project on creation of an IT Polygon in the Public budget educational institution of the city of Moscow "Bauman engineering school No. 1580".

According to decrees of the Russian President May (2018), the organizations of education are faced by a task to create a safe digital educational medium by 2024 and also to provide high quality and availability of all types of education. Special attention is paid integration into process of teaching school objects of technologies, including technologies of virtual and augmented reality and "digital doubles". According to the passport of the Federal program "Digital School", such technologies should be implemented not less than in 25% of the Russian schools.

"The Bauman engineering school No. 1580" became one of platforms for approbation of similar integration approach. The developed Kraftway according to technical specifications the complete solution for an IT Polygon is urged to create in educational institution a comfortable environment for training using best practices in the field of IT.

The project implemented by specialists of the company provided complete reconstruction of the old assembly hall of 150 sq.m. which is available at school and its transformation in full-fledged educational space.

The basic principles underlain in a basis of creation of an IT Polygon became:

• Modularity and ergonomics at deployment of educational laboratories;
• Easy transformation of educational space;
• Implementation of front lines practician of training;
• Combination of connectivities to resources of the Moscow Electronic School (MES) and practical lessons

The IT Polygon at "The Bauman engineering school No. 1580" for February, 2021 includes:

• 4 laboratory modules (a CAD, 3D - diagrams, virtual reality and Internet of Things);
• Zoning of the hall the soundproofing panels and installation of a raised floor, use of special lighting systems, scoring, video surveillance with a signal output to the receiver of school and also a ventilation system, including forced-air and exhaust installation with recuperation;
• Creation of the conditioned server premises, installation of a server and switching equipment, storage system, the organization of a local network;
• Installation of a management system for the multimedia equipment based on presentation switch Aten, including a possibility of demonstration and consolidation of video from different sources and mobile applications, record and broadcasts of actions video conferencing;
• Creation of the automation system of testing for carrying out tests, control and independent works and preparation for the USE for 60 people.

In a work progress over the project automation of all complex of systems, including management of motorized curtains and lighting from panels within the walls of classes and on a centralized basis, both according to different scenarios, and according to the schedule was carried out.

Depending on the tasks facing school the concept of an IT Polygon provides different options of space usage of the platform: it can be or work in the mode to 4 laboratories at the same time, or transformation to one lecture hall or to the place for holding intellectual competitions.

Key modules IT of the Polygon are the laboratories expected 16 pupils everyone:

• The CAD laboratory constructed on the basis of high-performance Kraftway Credo KC45 computers and also 3D-printers and scanners;
• 3D laboratory - diagrams, including jobs of pupils and additional interactive XP-PEN Artist 15.6 Pro displays, 3D-printers and 3D - scanners;
• VR laboratory based on a set of the equipment of ClassVR and jobs of pupils for training in virtual and augmented reality with a subscription of access to the portal of educational resources;
• The laboratory IoT (Internet things, robotics i artificial intelligence) including in addition to jobs of pupils, platforms of development and debug payments of IoT, the modules Arduino, the designer robotics LEGO, a set for studying of bases of artificial intelligence based on computer Raspberry Pi, a set of intellectual oscillographs of the company Keysight Technologies with laboratory works on to electronics based on educational payments of production of Kraftway company.

All laboratories are equipped with LCD panels 75' on a rack and cameras for carrying out a video conferencing.

Reliable smooth functioning of IT infrastructure is a key factor of success of the educational process organized based on an IT Polygon. According to technical specifications, engineers of Kraftway proposed the infrastructure solution on the basis of self-produced reliable failsafe servers Kraftway Express ISP ES151 and a storage system of Kraftway Storage 100-12.
