Beeline will be engaged in creation of digital economy of St. Petersburg

The Government of Saint Petersburg agreed in August, 2019 about VimpelCom about the beginning of works on digital upgrade of the city on Neva. The agreement on cooperation was signed at the St. Petersburg digital forum. Development of digital economy, in particular – the help in implementation of national programs and projects became the purpose of the agreement. For this purpose Beeline will provide to the city the technologies.

"Development of digital economy – the most important condition of competitiveness of the region and country in general. And now we are most concentrated on upgrade of a system that in the next 5-7 years to bring to new level everyday life of the person, relations of production and other major industries in structure of economy", – Denis Chamara, the Chairman of the Committee of informatization of St. Petersburg commented on signing.

Development of transport infrastructure and territorial planning will become the most priority points of application of efforts for Beeline. Also in the city several projects on creation of the safe and available environment start. For this purpose in St. Petersburg several innovation "pilots" with the subsequent development will be carried out.

As expected, innovations will be promoted by the analysis of Big Data from bases of the operator and also a number of solutions on the basis of artificial intelligence. With their help in St. Petersburg will appear new competences in the field of creation of the smart cities. Also the general improvement of IT infrastructure of the region is expected.
