The center of cyber security and protection of Rostelecom will get access to Group-IB Threat Intelligence

Rostelecom and Group-IB company specializing in solutions on early identification of cyberthreats signed the agreement on technology partnership in June, 2017. The agreement assumes long-term cooperation in information security field, in particular in prevention of computer crimes and protection of a brand and goodwill on the Internet. The parties intend to create joint projects, to exchange the ideas, information, experience and also to hold joint seminars and conferences.

The decision on technology partnership reflects a current trend – recently foreign operators of digital services even more often provide services to cyber security.

Focus of cybercriminals is displaced from trojans for the PC towards malware for mobile devices. In 2016 the volume of plunders using mobile trojans increased in comparison with 2016 almost by 5 times, and the average volume of plunders in day was 1.4 million rubles. Only for January, 2017 the system of cyberinvestigation Group-IB detected infections more than 125,000 users of mobile devices.
