British American Tobacco Russia uses EAM service for cost optimization of network traffic

Orange Business Services implemented in "British American Tobacco Russia" company ("BAT Russia") the Enterprise Application Management managed service on the platform of the equipment Riverbed, the press service of the company reported on May 14, 2013.

Service

For Orange Business Services the project in BATH Russia company - an output to the Russian market of the Enterprise Application Management (EAM) managed service on the basis of the equipment Riverbed. The service is provided as service. Orange makes delivery and equipment installation, manages its work, performs technical support, monthly provides to the customer the report on performance of the used applications and the recommendation about optimization of their work.

According to Artur Sevryugin, the manager of technology services "BAT Russia", the service of EAM offered Orange on test conditions quite was repaid at the solution of an assigned task and now is operated on a commercial basis. Implementation of EAM allowed to standardize IT infrastructure of "BAT of Russia", to reduce costs on its support, to consolidate server capacities in two DPCs (the 1st and 2nd level) and to refuse use of DPC of the 3rd level and also to simplify model of support of servers and to increase quality and reliability of WAN network.
