In May, 2012 the Russian division of Burger King managing network of 50 restaurants from which 41 is in Moscow and 9 in St. Petersburg announced transition to the new information platform - R-Keeper v.7.
Prerequisites of the Project
The Burger King network is present at 75 countries of the world where about 12 thousand fast food restaurants in total work. De facto corporate IT the standard is use of the Micros system from Micros Systems: on its base activity of most regional divisions is automated.
Initially Burger King in Russia also worked for Micros, but further was decided to refuse use of this system. Failure from an old system coincided also with change of the legal owner of management company of Burger Rus LLC network. Since May, 2012 not the Gleydprom Investment Limited company, but Vayoz Holdings Limited owns a packet of 99.84% of stocks. Experts claim that change of the actual owner did not happen, however in network management changes are expected.[1]
The Burger King network in Russia leaves from corporate IT of standards and passes to the IC R-Keeper of "domestic pouring"
Project Progress
In four St. Petersburg points of network the hardware and software system R-Keepe rv.7, including the modern kitchen KDS (KitchenDisplaySystem) video system allowing to increase the speed of work of cooks and service of visitors several times is already set. Works on installation and setup of a complex of automation were carried out by UCS SPb company (UCS) which will be engaged in system implementation and at other restaurants of network.
The choice for benefit of the R-Keeper system, told TAdviser in "UCS SPb", it was based on results of the tender held at the Russian office of the company. What other systems were considered an alternative R-Keeper, the parties do not specify, also as well as the project budget.
