Cloud4Y on November 19, 2021 announced that it had provided a server with GPU KER-Holding.

Own equipment allows you to do most of the work, but it needs to be configured, maintained, regularly updated. In addition, there are periods when a significant part of your own IT fleet is idle due to the lack of high loads. To reduce costs, but still maintain a high level of performance, the engineering company decided to migrate to the cloud.

Before KER-Holding Management Company leased the cloud infrastructure of the Cloud4Y provider according to the IaaS model, the engineering company conducted a comprehensive test of all the capabilities of the cloud platform. Due to the specificity of the tasks, the provider provided a test infrastructure of increased capacity for free. This allowed KER-Holding to give a full load on the service and make sure that renting cloud resources according to the IaaS model is more convenient and profitable than building its own IT park. After that, the already configured and tested test environment from the virtual GPU was put into "combat" mode.

The use of Nvidia Tesla GPU servers is an excellent option for solving problems that require increased computing power. With a graphics accelerator, any calculations go up to ten times faster than with a CPU. Separately, you need to allocate the ability to work with vGPU on the RDSH terminal server, where the vGPU resources are evenly divided between user sessions. In this case, access to the vehicle is carried out in the usual way using the standard RDP client. This solution allows you to use the full potential of VDI in conjunction with vGPU.

As of November 2021, KER-Holding Management Company uses cloud resources for design work managed by several users. The pay-as-you-go payment system has reduced costs, and the ability to quickly scale resources allows you to easily prepare the infrastructure for any tasks.
