In cathedral of Holy Family in Barcelona the DPC is started

The Schneider Electric company in 2015 set a modular data processing center in the well-known cathedral of Holy Family in Barcelona. The DPC was created according to individual requirements of the customer. The solutions Schneider Electric on creation of the integrated modular DPCs will allow operators to exercise control of security of church and to effectively control flows from millions of people visiting this sight every year.

The cathedral of Holy Family (Sagrada Familia) is included in the List of the world cultural heritage and is Barcelona which is the most visited by a sight. This building combining styles of a neogothic style and modernist style was built for many years to private donations. Construction was conducted since 1882, and in 2010 the temple was recognized suitable for implementation of church services and consecrated by the Pope Benedict of XVI. On attendance the cathedral of Holy Family costs in the same row with it world sights as Museo del Prado and the Alhambra palace.

Taking into account unique needs of the client, the Schneider Electric command developed and created a specialized modular data processing center which if necessary can be transferred to other place easily. The construction requires the minimum field assembly of operation that allows to avoid noises for visitors and construction.

The module was delivered to the place of operation with racks, the UPS, the system of distribution of energy, cooling and management in the preset type and ready to deployment. The module body intended for long-lasting and safe work has electrical and mechanical connections which can easily be turned off for the purpose of ensuring mobility of the module of DPC and internal components of its IT infrastructure.

Security is the vital condition of our IT transactions. To provide the adapted and expanded infrastructure during transformation, we had to think, avoiding templates. The microdata processing center constructed by Schneider Electric completely meets our requirements in respect of portability and adaptability and does not give an inconvenience to tourists and also does not interfere with construction and work of the building as the operating church, - Fernando Villa, the CIO in Sagrada Familia said.
