Library workers are impressed with opportunities Elarskan A2. Within the last two years the library pays special attention to digitization of collection materials among which there are rare historical editions on theology, philosophies, church history and also numismatics objects. Our purpose - to provide to potential researchers access to these valuable collections. The old equipment though was suitable for scanning of normal documents, but was not suitable for work with rare and fragile materials at all. Elarskan allowed us to digitize volumes of the much bigger size - thanks to a universal cradle. One more advantage Elarskan - the OCR function thanks to which we had an opportunity to work with the recognized texts with their subsequent editing and to perform full-text search on electronic collections. Applying ample opportunities of the Russian equipment, library workers conveniently and quickly scan all our valuable funds: books, manuscripts, ancient documents and even numismatics,
told Karrie Burn, the director of library of Manniks
