The Central Bank of the Russian Federation bought servers Huawei for 4 billion rubles

On February 4, 2019 the Central bank of the Russian Federation summed up the auction results on supply of equipment of Huawei company, including the built-in software products and service contracts on technical support.^[1]

The starting price of an auction was $63.766 million (about 4.2 billion rubles). Part in the tender was taken by three companies - Haskell ("subsidiary" of Merlion), InfocomExim and Marvel of KT. Based on biddings by the winner the Haskell company was announced. At the same time the total price of delivery in the protocol of procurement commission of bank is not sounded.

The list of delivery includes industrial servers and servers of management, NSX servers, media servers, a blade chassis, disk arrays, components of connection of servers and the other equipment. All this should be transferred to the customer till April 15, 2019. Shipping addresses are divisions of the Central Bank in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Krasnoyarsk.

According to the strategy of the Central Bank provided in February, 2017, the financial institution plans consolidation of separate IT solutions on single platforms, optimization of infrastructure, implementation of tools of cyberstability, etc. Instead of 91 DPC in different regions the Central Bank is going to use 2 main (in Moscow) and 5 reserve – on 2 in St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod and 1 in Krasnoyarsk. New purchase is probably intended just for these platforms.

In September - October, 2018 the Central Bank already held an auction with the same name and cost of the contract. Then the Landata company was recognized the winner. However, because of non-execution of agreement obligations, it was entered in the register of unfair suppliers. As a result in December, 2018 the agreement from Landat was terminated, reported TAdviser in the press service of the Central Bank.

In September, 2017 the Bank of Russia carried out similar equipment procurement, software products and technical support services of Huawei. Then the Haskell company was recognized the winner, and contract amount was $53.142 million.
