Rostelecom in Chelyabinsk region installed more than 7 thousand smart metering devices of the electric power

On September 5, 2018 the Rostelecom company announced completion of installation and construction works within the power service contract signed with Chelyabenergo.
According to the company, for September, 2018 in 28 localities in the territory of responsibility of the Central electric networks 7492 smart metering devices of the electric power are installed.
Modern counters are installed in premises, on industrial facilities and city transmission lines. Sensors are protected from foreign intervention and negative weather conditions (wind, a rain, sunshine), they most precisely consider quantity of the consumed electric power and automatically transfer data to the resource supplying company. At the same time consumers can quickly receive relevant meter readings by means of the remote control. Data of metering devices remain in uniform base.
Smart technologies allow to save electricity and to reduce losses in network. A system is protected from unauthorized access and information leak. Expense control of consumers allows to define sources of loss of energy resources, to increase the transferred energy volumes, to reduce costs for electricity.
