Jet Infosystems unrolled failsafe network Wi-fi for production sites of Cherkizovo

Wi-fi networks work in production and warehouse of four productions of the Cherkizovo Group: plant in Moscow and poultry farms in the Moscow and Tula regions. The wireless network provides data transmission between data collection terminals (scanners of barcodes) and an ERP system. The enterprise received the guaranteed continuity of process of accounting of intermediate and finished goods, a possibility of timely shipment of fresh products in accordance with the terms of contracts.

"Failure of network means for us impossibility to mark products, and the long break in its work is fraught with damage of products and penalties from retailers. The created Wi-Fi-network with the increased reliability level completely excludes similar risks", – Vladislav Belyaev, the CIO of the Cherkizovo Group notes.

At design of network it was considered conditions of its work in an aggressive environment. For deployment of network of power supply and SCS the steel structures meeting sanitary standards for food production were used. The majority of access points are packed into germoboksa, in case of placement of points in low-temperature chambers of a germoboksa are in addition equipped with heaters.

The set access points cover premises with a reserve – failure of any of them does not affect quality of connection. Also reservation of active equipment of communication hubs is provided. Engineering infrastructure – network of power supply and SCS is designed and constructed. The failsafe topology of SCS provides operability of network even in case of two simultaneous accidents. In addition to basic function – data transmission from scanners of barcodes in the ERP system – in network the functionality of VoIP for operational and technology communication and also an opportunity to connect the user terminals for personnel access to corporate network is implemented.
