ELAR created "Electronic archive of the city of Tyumen"

According to the staff of the city administration, this technological solution will increase efficiency of activities of Archives department for citizens' appeals and execution of requests of the government and municipal institutions, legal entities and physical persons.

Within the project automated information system of archives department into which the electronic resource created as a result of digitization of inventories and documents was loaded is implemented. Specialists of ELAR scanned and indexed 11,560 sheets of explanatory notes and more than 480,000 sheets of documents. Organizational and administrative documentation of the Tyumen administration and also a citizens' appeal is transferred to an electronic form. Besides, the considerable information resource in a document type of the MS Office format created for many years by the staff of archives department is loaded into a system.

Creation of "Electronic archive of Tyumen" on the basis of implementation of an end-to-end industry system of the AIS ELAR-archive allowed to reduce considerably completion dates of requests of citizens and the organizations for providing archive information due to creation and use of the automated explanatory notes to archive documents, creations of a common information space for input, storages and document handlings with providing online access to documents in electronic form. The most demanded originals of archive documents were withdrawn from circulation, and their safety is guaranteed, thus. Remote access to information on structure and contents of documents of archives department of management on citizens' appeals and office-work of administrative department of City administration of Tyumen was provided.
