At the beginning of June, 2017 from Petrozavodsk to Moscow the large-size equipment — a column of atmospheric distillation is delivered to cargo barzhy. The new device should work in the block of primary oil refining of the under construction combined Euro + installation of Moscow Refinery. The column is intended for production of components of gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel. Equipment manufacturer — AEM-tekhnologii company (enters into Atomenergomash — a machine-building division of Rosatom State Corporation).

The equipment was delivered on the Volga-Baltic water transport system. Total length of a river way was 1100 kilometers. The barge passed the last 70 kilometers across the capital, having overcome eleven lock transitions. Now the equipment was placed on the special mooring near Moscow Oil Refinery and prepared for further transportation. On the building site "Euros +" will carry a column special cargo tractors.

In an atmospheric column separation of oil happens thanks to a difference in boiling temperature of fractions. Heat is failed only to the lower part of a column and temperature in it gradually decreases from a bottom to top. The petrol fraction is taken away on top columns, kerosene and diesel — are condensed in middle parts, fuel oil remains liquid and is pumped out from the lower part. All selected fractions go for further processing.
