Rostec reduced dependence of the compulsory health insurance system on foreign software

In March, 2018 announced Rostec state corporation accomplishment by the child structure — the National Center of Informatization (NCI) — the public contract on development of the State information system of compulsory health insurance (GIS compulsory health insurance).

As a result of a victory at an electronic auction the NCI became the contractor on technical support of work of GIS compulsory health insurance for 2018.

Within the project a number of functional updates was implemented and transfer of a part of subsystems of GIS compulsory health insurance to the Russian and freely distributed software is provided.

As noted, as a result of updates the dependence of a system on foreign software makers is considerably reduced, the level of its information security is increased that, in turn, guarantees stabler work of GIS compulsory health insurance. Functional changes simplify interterritorial interaction of bodies of compulsory health insurance and also contain a number of convenient services for the management of fund and the population.

Thanks to improvement of interaction of GIS compulsory health insurance with a Single state system in the field of health care appeared an opportunity to provide to citizens the additional information in the section "My health" on the uniform portal of state services — for example, information on the services which are earlier rendered on compulsory health insurance. Also through this section it will be possible to submit the application for execution of the insurance policy. It will become possible in 2018 — the CEO of NCI Konstantin Solodukhin told.

The instrument of information and analytical support of the top officials of Federal Compulsory Health Insurance Fund and the mechanism of legally significant electronic document management for the compulsory health insurances territorial funds is also developed and implemented. Innovations in general are designed to simplify the procedure of exchange of documents between regions in case of rendering to the insured person of medical aid not in that region where it was insured. Besides, the management of fund received online access to quickly updated information on key indicators of GIS compulsory health insurance, including through special mobile application.
