The Kalina concern, the largest producer of perfumery, cosmetics and household chemicals in Russia, and DataKrat Corporation, announce successful start of EXceed™ WMS 4000 system (SSA Warehouse Management) on a finished goods warehouse of Concern in the city of Yekaterinburg with a capacity about 13000 pallets. Delivery, installation and setup of the equipment Symbol were performed by DataKrat company.
"System implementation of EXceed™ WMS 4000 led to reduction of a personnel warehouse, necessary for work, increase in total amount of the made warehouse transactions on average one day before 2500 (external credit and debit transactions till 1200), to increase in turnover of products in a warehouse and as a result ensuring loading not less than 95% of the total amount of pallets. We are going to continue cooperation about DataKrat and to jointly start the EXceed WMS system in other more difficult business processes warehouses, - Valery Bulevich, the head of information technology of Kalina Concern says.
The EXceed WMS system for the first time in Russia was installed on a finished goods warehouse by production that imposed additional requirements to a management system. The main problems which were solved – integration of WMS with the Infomatsionny Production Management System (IPMS) data of data from these systems in conditions when before the termination of a production process of a batch it is unknown what goods quantity will be made and will arrive on a warehouse.
In a project deliverable the warehouse passed to paperless technology of providing intra warehouse logistic procedures, all transactions are performed using radio terminals.
