The government of Indonesia agreed about Azimuth about purchase of the command and monitoring center

On June 15, 2016 the Azimouth company announced the project of creation of the air navigation command and monitoring center for the benefit of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Indonesia[1].

Project Tasks

In Indonesia more than 500 airports and nearly 70 registered airlines. Increase in flows of air traffic and plane fleet of airlines, gain of control over flight safety of International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) demanded from the Government of Indonesia implementation of the latest communication systems, navigation and observation and creation of the integrated air navigation command and monitoring center (Integrated Air Navigation Command and Monitoring Center) in Jakarta which problem will be full control of Republic airspace, a status of navigation aids and the personnel working in the industry.

World leaders in the field of automation of the ATC participated in the tender for creation of the monitoring center in Indonesia: the American corporations Lockheed Martin and Harris, the French company Thales Group and the Russian developer of the radio-electronic systems for civil aviation of Azimut JSC.

Representatives of the Ministry of Transport of Indonesia gave preference to the Russian producers.

In recent years Indonesia seriously promoted in a question of security of flights and reductions of number of aviation incidents: the qualified inspectors on control of security of flights are trained, the relevant Indonesian legislation in the field of civil aviation and the instruction for personnel, concerning the flight validity, production of flights and air navigation is reviewed. The next stage – implementation of the latest air navigation technologies which our specialists safely integrate into the existing operational framework of civil aviation of the Indonesian Republic.

The cost of expected works will be ~ $400 million.

Terms of the contract provide supply of equipment of the monitoring center in a short time. The general project duration – 180 days. For Azimouth company the contract with Indonesia for creation of the unique air navigation command and monitoring center for the benefit of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Indonesia became the fifth.
